Bed bugs fouund in room. Do not stay here. Awful service from hotel and Hotels.com. was denied a refund after leaving the hotel due to finding bed bugs. Ridiculous.

The hotel definitely needs upkeep and maintenance. The windows would not stay closed, walls had holes, it was extremely dark and musty, and the paint was peeling.

Staff are so friendly and will help with anything. Room clean and spacious. We could take our dogs which was brilliant! Tea and coffee making facilities. A bath as well as a shower. Fantastic! To make it perfect we would like a fridge in the room and a safe for our money etc. Apart from that it was great.

My son stayed in room 312 he has had to visit his GP as he is covered in bed bug bites

The property was kept really clean, the staff were so friendly and made sure i felt relaxed and would help with any queries i had, the only thing for me was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Rooms are a decent size and on a warm day it was nice to have wi does that opened. Carpets had crumbs on when we arrived and reception smelled of smoke due to receptionist smoking by front doors.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. It a nice clean, reasonably priced, no frills hotel. I stay here when I’m down training my search dogs, and the hotel is perfectly happy to have well behaved dogs in the rooms at no extra charge - perfect.

The hotel boasts of a nice location. On entry it looks like a building site. There is debris and temporary fencing all over the place. The reception was nice. The receptionist was in jeans and a T shirt, no uniform. We were told that there was no bar service until 18:00hrs. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The outlook was on to a grotty courtyard full of cigarette butts. The window had no block on it, it opened fully. The bathroom was fine, but old. The basin light did not work. Towels were nice and provided toiletries were very good. We did sleep well albeit there was a lot of noise from an adjacent room early in the morning. We did have a drink at the bar. It was fine but the bar person was dressed as if for a nightclub. Very short dress and extremely high shoes. No thought for corporate image. In all it was budget and not great but it catered for our needs and we slept well.

I have heard mixed things about this hotel, but I was really pleasantly surprised. It was clean, the staff are friendly and very quiet. I will definitely come again – don’t believe everything you read. Great value for money

Typical contractor type hotel. Room rate was reasonable however the meals were overpriced for microwaved basic Fayre.

We had a guy outside our room opposite banging on the door for an hour and shouting around 3am it was horrible until the police finally arrived really scared me

Hotel is really run down, i didnt even have shower curtain water went everywhere, sink was leaking, no spoon with cups, wouldnt advise you stay at parkside.

We were greeted well being disabled a friendly man appeared and carried our bags The people and the staff were friendly and very helpful in this hotel Not like some of the others we have stayed at over the years Definitely come back again if I live long enough. N

Nice hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and breakfast good. Value for money was good. Good location for a gentle walk into town with all facilities close.

A really lovely friendly place to stay. A short comfortable walk into town from the hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, generous sized room. Vegetarian breakfast excellent. Ate in one night, basic menu - mains only - but food good. Downside is that restaurant lacked any sort of atmosphere. Would stay there again
