When we checked into the room, it was late in the evening. We noticed that the shower curtain was too short and not wide enough to cover the show/tub area. So it was difficult to keep water off of the floor. The toilet would not flush. We had to take the lid off the tank and manually flush and the phones in the room did not work. I was instructed to send an email to the hotel manager. Which I sent have yet to receive a response from the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel 4 or five times previously and was one of my favorites, but no longer. The hotel is very nice with clean rooms but this time was different and here’s the issues: 1. The hotel required more than one night stay. Why is that? More $$$ 2. Breakfast was at best fair. The fruit appeared old and was turning black. Two burners (of five) on the “hot” area were not working properly and the meat dishes were way below acceptable serving temperatures. I Spk to the foot manager, who promised to have corrected. It was not corrected, and the food staff could care less. 3. Last night at 9 pm, guests were notified that the water would be cut off the following day, today, 11/8/24, at 9 am until late afternoon. (See attached letter) That’s people are getting up, showering, etc. The hotel cleared out after 9 am. Not surprising. When the reception was asked about such short notice, they got a bit rude. What about the new guests arriving today? Did the hotel also inform them? In conclusion, I don’t know is going on with this hotel and it isn’t good. We’re not coming back and will monitor the reviews. There are many nice hotels in the Energy Corridor on I 10, but as of today the GQ isn’t one of them at $225/day.

Overall our stay was okay. Our room only had 1 towel and we called to request 3 additional ones and we could not get through the front desk or room services. Once we called the 3rd time they said they would deliver the towels but never were received. Our second night we requested the towels again but had to go to the front desk because no one would pick up the phone when we called from our room.

We have been staying here for all of our visits to Houston, the staff are very nice and welcoming and the breakfast service is great!

I booked a king suite 3 weeks ahead of my stay. I was placed in a 2 bed room with full beds. They tried to make it better but it just wasn’t what I paid for.

Yolanda was amazing at check in. I love staying at Embassy when I travel.

Average property not worth the price

Best Guest Quarters that I have ever stayed. Great service, nice rooms, free breakfast and happy hour, lots of free parking and access to I 10, a major artery in Houston and energy corridor. I know the area well and had an office across I 10. BTW, I saw Mac Haik this morning at breakfast. He owns many car dealerships and has built many of the buildings in the area.
