This was a phenomenal establishment!! The staff treated us like family!! Danny checked us in and he was wonderful!! Let's talk about Amenities galore!! Adispenser with a delicious variety of FREE hot beverages available 24 hours, a gym with an impressive variety of equipment, a spacious business station that has 4 computers, ample free parking, a heated pool and hot tub that were open later than most places. Then there's the restaurant in the same parking lot.... guests get 20% discount when you present your room key. They had live music every night we were there. It was awesome!!! Beds were super comfy. We worried about the train tracks outside our balcony but they must be out of service. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights and never heard a train.

Great hotel! The Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel is clean and modern, close to the highway, with great staff! I stayed here for business, and it was perfect. Will definitely stay here again.

We couldn't check in early as they had been booked solid when we got there, but we were able to check in right at 3:00. Front desk personnel were professional. Room was very clean as was the bathroom. Air conditioning worked very well. We were close to the Interstate but it was very quiet as we had an end suite. The only thing was they didn't have was free breakfast in the morning. They do not have a restaurant in the hotel, but you can order from the restaurant across the parking lot. They were very expensive though. All together, it was a very pleasant stay.

This is our usual go to and we have never had any issues until yesterday. The A/C in the room does not work. We had to open the window to get some air. Room was warm and uncomfortable.

This was a very Beautiful Hotel a lil pricey but well worth it! We went for my son's Graduation from the Marines so i asked the front Desk for a roll away bed he said he could not let me have one due to i was in a 2-Bed room! Didnt like that at all

We recently stayed and booked two rooms. While the rooms themselves were clean, we encountered a few issues. One of the bathrooms was not cleaned properly, but the staff quickly addressed the problem. Additionally, the door in one of the rooms didn't lock securely, which made us feel a bit uneasy. Maintenance arrived promptly to fix the issue, but unfortunately, the problem persisted after we returned to the room.

Stayed for a family event and really liked the hotel itself. The staff was friendly and at check in they provided a ‘welcome’ bag that has complimentary water bottles, a snack bar, and a bag of chips. A very nice gesture.

this is such a beautiful hotel the front desk people so awesome made my check in quick n smooth! it had a very welcoming atmosphere when you walked into the doors . only thing is the shower head was not clean and my room wasn’t cleaned i was there for 2 days i wasn’t sure if i was suppose to ask to get my room clean and get new fresh towels. but overall loved it. thank you to awesome staff you guys rock🔥🔥

The hotel looks nice outside and inside but could use some upgrades in the room. Location is great, near everything. I did not like that housekeeping doesn’t come u less you request it. We requested it and they still never came the next day. So we spent 3 days and our room was never cleaned. When I stay in a hotel I love coming back to a clean room, we didn’t have that. The air conditioner wasn’t the best, it never got cold in the room so had to run it all day and night, very stuffy. It wasn’t the worse stay but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great hotel. Everything was good except Shower. The water was so slow that it took good 15-20 mins. Rest no complaint. Great service. Great and nice staff. Quick room service.

This hotel is very nice- no complaints except maybe the pillows aren’t the most comfortable. That’s probably just me though! The staff was super nice, everything about the hotel is great! There’s a restaurant right next door that gives a discount if you’re a hotel guest that has great cocktails & good food. We stayed here because we were going to a concert at Petco Park & while the property itself seems just fine, you don’t necessarily want to walk too far & it gets a little dicey. At least in the direction we saw. However, you’re VERY close to a Trolly stop! Don’t walk there even though it’s only about a 10 minute walk (again a little dicey) but it’s a 3 minute drive- you drive over, you park for free & hop on the trolly & it’s a few stops down for $2.50 each way. So $10 total we got there and back, extremely easy & the hotel has a map they’ll share with you & mark the stop for you. If we come here for any events there we’ll 100% be staying here again!

My family and I had a great experience. Easy check in and out. Staff is friendly and professional. The facility was very well kept including the pool.

This is our favorite place to stay in San Diego. The staff is super friendly, the facilities are clean, annd I noticed it smells really nice all throughout the hotel. The rom was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is far away enough from the city to not deal with traffic but still only a 15min or so drive to wherever you want to go. There’s plenty of food options right down the street. It really is a great place to stay!

Overall cleanliness was good, atmosphere, and not much noise. One terrible encounter with lady cleaning our room 126 who knew we were there and told us to wait 5 more minutes (no problem) but her treatment of my family saying not give her any more trash and to lock the glass door on us after she was done knowing we had a sleeping child.

The property was very clean. The staff was very helpful and kind. Parking was very easy. There is a restaurant right next door that guests get a discount at. The freeway is very close and the trolley is within walking distance as are other food options and a local craft beer bar.

It was central to all the places that I needed to be to.

I liked this property, we received a warm welcome and even though we arrived early, we got a room. The room was very clean which is my number 1 concern. The room looked exactly like on the website. The staff was friendly and professional, assisting with great customer service. I will stay here again when in San Diego area.
