Clean and efficient

Room size/ comfort was excellent and very clean. Food choice was good and of reasonable quality and price. Good location for visiting Cambridge and surrounding area. Dining area chairs could do with some refurbishment!

The staff here were very friendly, especially to my 3 year old son. He loved his welcome pack! Our room was very comfy, and you very well soundproofed as you cannot hear the railway next to the hotel! Only downside, the shower door has a small gap which made a large puddle in the bathroom. Nice breakfast is also available with all you would expect.

I have stayed at the hotel on many occasions with no issues but I stayed in room 107 for the first time. The room smelt of damp and I asked a member of staff to come up to check. They did and said they thought it was the cleaning products or the wet room. At 5.15 am water and dirty coloured water started coming from the Air Conditioning unit - so much so I had to put towels down and to turn the AC off. I was awake from then onwards as the noise of the water dripping kept me awake. I informed the hotel but no explanation or ways to rectify offered.

Great location for a day at Newmarket races, although the taxi prices are pretty steep during peak times. Everything as expected, although room temp was pretty warm (as air con didn't seem to allow a lower setting for some reason).

We’ve stayed before and the staff are very good and friendly the rooms are clean beds a little low for us but otherwise good showers could do with anti slip mats but overall we found everything good breakfast choice good only other downside lifts broke on second day but luckily they were fixed morning we left

Would recommend you check that they are ready to provide a service as when we turned up a good two hours after our check in time we were told our rooms were not ready yet ?

Great stay on a hot evening - very gopd air conditioning

Hotel was clean and tidy as you would expect. Staff were very helpful and customer focussed. We went over to the pub for a meal, which was not good, food was poor, so was service. We will stay in the hotel next time.

All was good , rooms, breakfast and services.

Noisey road next to the hotel and beds very hard

All the staff were super friendly and helpful. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I really like the convenience of being so close to the train station. So easy to get around if you don’t have a car. Will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed a great 2 night stay to visit Duxford IWM. Perfect location. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Really nice bathroom and comfortable beds - we slept very well. Staff were excellent- very welcoming. We had food from the evening menu which though limited was hot and tasty. We would not hesitate to return.

Good access to Imperial War Museum

The staff were so kind and excellent. The only problem was there was no sign for the property so it took us 3 attempts to find it! So when we arrived the manager made us a coffee!!

I visit about 30.40 hotels per year from 3 to 5 stars and I never write reviews. I must say I've never had a staff, at check-in and check-out that was so fantastic, smiling and very kind, in a genuine way, not in a "trained" way. A real great experience. The premises are ok. The only "bad" thing is that the TVs are smaller than a microwave :-D. And Room 6 has the water in the faucet not draining correctly. Take care and thank you the check-in/out team.

Tired, old hotel. Carpet stains. Chair stains. Dirty mirrors. Corridors smell of chemicals. Staff checked me into someone else’s room. Staff unable to give me a VAT receipt. Filthy cups at breakfast. My bathroom stank of damp. Road noise in my room with presumably no sound insulation from the outside. Banging noises in the hotel from 6am. Mouldy bathroom ceiling. No water available at breakfast. No bin in the room.

Tired decor. Tiny TV in room similar to one I have around 15 years ago. Mould in bathroom. Poor soundproofing on windows so all noise from road and rail nearby very noticeable. Basic breakfast with terrible coffee.

Had a great nights stay. Staff were very friendly, room clean and great shower. Good to have air con. A very good breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.

The service was excellent, ladies from the reception were absolutely kind and lovely with me and my children when we arrived on Saturday night. The room was clean and we had a very good rest as the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast was great as well, plenty on option to choose from, great taste and plenty of time to go downstairs for breakfast as it's open from 7 to 11am

The staff were brilliant. The hotel was clean and what we wanted. The bed was not at all comfortable, was lumpy and you slid away to the edge. It had a mattress topper on to detract from this. The pillows were realy lumpy and hard and the duvet was tiny. When there were 2 of you in bed there was a gap at the edge if the duvet as it was too small.
