Really friendly and helpful staff. Seems like a good working atmosphere for them. Wasn’t the fanciest place I’ve stayed but I felt welcomed, comfortable and safe. Also the shower was really powerful! Owner saw how many bags I had and offered me downstairs room but I prefer being up a level.

Lovely place

Extremely clean.very obliging staff Didn’t like the outdoor stairs leading up to my room difficult to negotiate for me especially with luggage although a member of staff did offer to help.Would have preferred a ground floor room.

We dined in the restaurant in the evening. The food was excellent as was the service. One downside was that our room was only accessible by a steepish staircase, although there were handrails either side. I wasn't expecting this and advise future guests to check as it looked like there were also rooms available on the ground floor. For breakfast, we had the included continental breakfast which was perfectly adequate for our needs and we had no complaints about.

Really sad state of hospitality here. Very jaded building

As an elderly couple we didn't find this accommodation very easy. It was upstairs, not too much of a problem, but the shower was over the bath with no grab rails of any kind so very difficult for us to use. In fact the bathroom was in need of a makeover as it was looking tired. We also had issues with the electrics, which were attended too quickly but a nuisance all the same. Although booked for two nights we didn't stay for the second night as we weren't really comfortable We were also unlucky with food as the restaurant was having some updating done so wasn't open the night we arrived.

Overall the Hotel was good, a little noisy but that was ok, room a little cold to start with until I worked out how the heaters worked.

The property met my expectations and was good value for money. My room was clean and fresh, with plenty of items on the hospitality tray for drinks in the room. The food in the restaurant was very good and I would definitely eat there again.

It was very noisy until midnight and as I had an early start I would not recommend Saturday nights

Very friendly and welcoming staff. After checking in we found that the bathroom light switch was faulty which meant we couldn’t see to use facilities. This was reported promptly and unfortunately no other rooms were available. However the manager called called out maintenance and got it fixed. Huge thanks. Great service.

The hotel is nice but we had some small issues during our stay. The room phone wasn't working, so I had to go to the reception to order a pizza (not so good/tasty) and to say that the shower hot water wasn't working (it was fixed).

Very Noisy

Excellent reception. Welcoming staff. Packed breakfast ready for collection as requested. (Previous stays at same hotel was disappointing as breakfast was not supplied as promised. Only downside was the tired spring mattresses. Both of had poor sleep

Bathroom light wasn’t working reported repaired still not working had to use bathroom with door open at night. TV stopped working half way through movie no one to report to reception shut 8pm

Enjoyable stay

It was easy to get to. Lovely accommodation and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely

The room was excellent condition but sadly couple things let the stay down the fact on booking i ticked didnt want cleaning while i was there as wanted my privacy respected to find they had been in while we were out cleaned and chucked food away we had brought in 2nly the numbers quoted for room service didnt work so wasnt able to order in our room

Lovely suite in room 9, big and clean. We dropped on the Elvis tribute during our stay, was good to have live music, got very busy so have to be there early if you want a seat. Food was very nice, good options for continental breakfast.

Dog-Friendly rooms with a newly refurbished bathroom. We were in a ground floor room with plenty of space for luggage and a dog crate. Staff were extremely friendly and brought our dog a complimentary sausage at breakfast time. The food in the bar was lovely - especially the luxurious treacle tart. Bonus of just a 5 minute walk to the fields just south of the new neighbouring housing estate.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room, and bathroom are a bit tired and a chair was wobbly. Food was great and the dinning area large and pleasant. Can be a bit noisy with customers drinking outside and leaving the bar. Over all enjoyable and a decent place to stay. Once again, the staff are great.

The hotel’s location suited us for a specific trip to this locality; and everything we needed was available within the hotel and its bar / restaurant.

Position of hotel; low rise accommodation and good selection of ales.

I have stayed here lots of times before and normally it has been very good. The last few times the breakfast has been very poor with items not available and or replenished. Also waiting over 45 mins and was not offered the option a a cooked breakfast (which you pay for and only available at weekends) The room (13) wa damaged in Bathroom with the towel rail having been removed and the screws left hanging out of the walls. Such as shame as normally a great stay and just feels like it is being let go and standards are dropping.

I loved the staff, so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make everything lovely. A little touch up here and there, paint, replace windows etc. otherwise really nice.

Very helpful and polite staff. Room was tidy and bed comfy. Great food. Pies and puzza were fab!
