It was a great value for the price. They allowed me to check in early, which very helpful. It's not a super fancy place, but the pool is large and clean, the room was also large, clean and had amenities such as a microwave, a mini-fridge and a smart tv. The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. I would definitely stay here again while in transit from the San Jose del Cabo airport to my final destination in Baja California Sur.

We were very disappointed in this property. Although the room was very big, it was incredibly dark and very outdated. It felt very depressing to be in the room. It's also a long walk to get to the beach or art district. If you don't have a car, you will feel very isolated. We changed to another hotel. The people working at the hotel are lovely though.

It was close to a lot of things.

This is a cute and cute boutique hotel. The staff is amazing, especially Emilio! The area is walkable and the beach is about 10 minutes away. There is a grocery store and Bistro , La Comer across the street, and several restaurants as well. The hotel is very dated, but clean and the television works. The pool is great with chairs and a covered area. I will definitely stay here again

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Santa Maria – clean, comfortable and conveniently located, with very reasonable rates and a friendly, attentive staff (special kudos to Abigail and Melissa at the reception desk - very accommodating!). We stayed in a junior suite, which was spacious and had a small kitchenette with a balcony view of the golf course, and its king-size bed was very comfortable. Olga, one of the hotel’s team of cleaning maids was very attentive and friendly, too. A well-tended garden and patio with an inviting swimming pool is centrally located, and the hotel’s cute little restaurant, “Secretos”, provided us with tasty breakfasts and sandwiches, both Mexican and North American style, along with excellent service by Ana, our amiable waitress. This little gem of a hotel has an onsite massage studio (Colibri) and a gym, too, but we didn’t have enough time to enjoy them; however, when we come back next time, we’ll definitely give them a go! If you love to walk, the public beach isn’t far away so you can take a beautiful seaside walk along the beach (note: swimming and/or wading is NOT recommended due to a strong undertow & hidden rip currents), and there’s a small but modern shopping center across the way where one can find a full array of groceries, dry goods, clothing, souvenirs, currency exchange and even crepes and a Subway sandwich shop. Finally, there are several restaurants nearby; all good, but our favorite? Tacos Lateral - tasty, yet inexpensive!

Great room for a stopover in between travels. Clean, bed was comfortable. Very friendly and accommodating staff at front desk. And the breakfast was really good

4 easy blocks to the beach, i block to the big grocery store, lots of dining choices, and included breakfast with lots of delicious choices. I was initially put off because the kitchen, although complete had no pans, dishes or silverware. there was a coffee maker and two cups. All it took was to request for what we needed to cook with and it quickly arrived at our door freshly washed.

This is a good Basic Hotel that's Centrally Located in San Jose Del Cabo close to everything Shopping, Restaurants etc.I usually stay at All Inclusive Resorts but I did enjoy my Week there.If you want a Hotel that's cozy & authentic type Mexican one on a Lower Price Range/ Budget then i'd maybe check this out, Àlistair B..

Check in young non-English speaking woman tried to give us a bill for.room, but only when we showed our receipt did she finally speak a little English saying room paid. Any worker in hotel management should know how to yse Google translate. Beds only fair. Cockroaches. Kitchen had no pots, coffee mugs, only 1 spoon & fork laying in drawer. Bathroom window broken. VERY outdated!

We’re from the USA and have a home about one hours drive north from San Jose del Cabo. We like staying at the Santa Maria when we want to have a few days in town without the drive home. The staff is friendly, rooms are large and clean. The hotel is basic by American standards when traveling to a resort area, but the trade off for economy and comfort are equal. The Secritos restaurant is great for breakfast, which the room rate oftenincludes, making the value even greater.

Room is dated, curtains are dirty / permit light through, shower curtain smelled bad, no lamp or soft lighting at bed. For the price you pay, rooms need an update. Positives: very friendly staff, good location (beach walking distance and supermarket across the street), warm pool, nice breakfast, clean linens, and bed was very comfortable.

I liked the breakfast that was provided and the staff was helpful and tried to get a TV connection but the boss has to care of the downed service over the 3 day weekend.

This place needs renovation. Despite moving up a couple floors walls were stained and scratched, the shower took a long time to drain and the toilet takes quite awhile to refill after flushing. The hotel should consider having clean sheets for setting up the beds, and internet should be able to connect without guessing which room is best to connect to. It's understandable there can be some insects that enters room, but not to have spiders hanging from washroom corners and ants making trails on the walls. Despite it having good location and breakfast. This is only a decent stay for a layover flight, will not recommend for longer stay. The outside looks nice, but interior really needs a makeover. Don't be fooled by the pictures. I assumed people were picky with their stays, but when a few mention it's unclean. It is true.
