Charming hotel with friendly host. Very quiet. Very close to City Park and walkable to cbd but plan on climbing a steep hill.

Waratah was excellent accommodation. Only complaint was the number of steps/stairs!!

Beautiful heritage building. Spacious clean and comfortable room. Easy walk to cbd. Launceston is hilly so expect some steep walking. Simple after hour checkin and friendly/helpful reception. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we were downstairs and could hear people coming and going, plus the people above us walking around.

The property had lots of character and was well maintained. The staff were friendly. The parking was accesible and the views from the terrace were marvellous.

Great option for one person. Only thing, because it's heritage accommodation, don't expect soundproofing! Other guests can be loud!

Booked the King Spa suite, huge room, beautiful bed linen, immaculately clean and the spa was huge! Will definitely return.

Comfy beds. Had a great sleep both nights we stayed. Really appreciated that we were greeted by a staff member after hours.

Lovely old heritage building, the room was mostly clean and comfortable there seemed to be an issue with cracking and the paint on one wall near the bed (partially hidden by a wardrobe) and quite a few cobwebs on the high ceilings but we booked a special discounted rate so expected a not so perfect room. The shower was one of the best hotel showers I’ve had with plenty of hot water and good strong pressure. There aren’t many parking spots so when it’s busy it could become an issue.

This property is a magnificent, heritage listed building. My room was spacious, had beautiful high ceilings, adjustable heating & a jetted bath. The panel heating was enough to keep the room a comfortable temperature, but there were also electric blankets on the bed if required. The room was quieter than I expected, given I was on the ground floor with road-facing windows. Very little outside noise was noticeable in the room. The staff were friendly, helpful & professional. This location is on a hill, which may be an issue for some. There is a steep option & a 'not quite as steep' option when walking, but personally, I enjoy the steep hill! All in all, a sensational building in a wonderful location.
