Great front of house staff Water temp is poor though and heaters do not work and some areas could be cleaner

Unfortunately room 8 had a damp smell which was very noticeable on entry and also there’s specks of black mould on the bathroom ceiling and cobwebs in the corner of the room. Was expecting a premier inn type budget hotel but this was far below my expectations and I will not be booking again.

The receptionist was lovely.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding areas/gardens were kept lovely (especially the bunnies!). The towels, bed linen and pillows were all of good quality & our room was very spacious. Some TLC needed in areas such a grouting, limescale build up on the bath taps and chipped varnish on floor board but for the cost paid (£104) it was good value. Car park is just out front which was convenient and there is a services opposite with a macdonalds and costa which was also handy before traveling back. Thanks team!

Obviously this is a budget hotel but i would not go back. The bed was really uncomfortable, barely slept. Every time a lorry went past the room woukd rattle and the floor was covered in ants everywhere. Booked for 2 nights and left after night 1. Will be making a formal complaint

Perfect stay for a quick stopover. Conveniently located, simple room but really comfy beds and decent bathroom. Room was a little too warm but overall good stay. Receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Great value.

Discovered that in the same post code there were 2 DayInn hotels, one on the North & another on the South. Sod's law, we went to the wrong side and had a -nightmare- getting to the other one. Poor signage private roads etc. Given that apparently they can't do anything about the postcode issue, they should just name them differently, to minimise the confusion on maps. The hotel itself however, was very functional. 3.5 stars.

Good value for money and easily accessible off the A34 at the Shell fuel stop. Note that there are two Wyndham Sutton Scotney motels either side of the A34. South and the North - and they share the same postcode....Google Maps will invariably take you to the South motel. A rat run across the A34 will get you to the North motel.

Great stay

Clean and comfortable if a bit tired. Friendly and welcoming service. No frills but amenities all available at on-site services (McDonalds, Costa, Shell). Very content and would stay here again for the same price.

Ok for quick stay - parking a bit odd, v loud as near truck stop. but it wasn't dirty was reasonable

Stayed here as a cheap overnight stop. Hotel states it is pet friendly, i would not expect this to extend to the carpet in the room being COVERED IN PET HAIR. We were only there one night. The bed was awful and uncomfortable. There was lots of noise throughout the night. Doors slamming and people running through the corridor. When we left, very early in the morning as no one could sleep there was a dirty towel outside a door on the floor. We tried for dinner to get a food delivery but very limited options available there too. Could not pay me enough to stay again at a days inn.

Met our needs perfectly for a budget one night family stay although one room was a little cold overnight. Breakfast vouchers purchased at the hotel saved us £7.50 on breakfast at Costa/McDs.

Bathroom was a bit moldy, overall a good place to stay for a night

Room was smelly. Mould on bathroom ceiling. Floor covering pealing away under bath. Basin taps could not be turned off properly. No proper breakfast facility in services area. A very poor experience.

Loved the flowers all around the hotel, The clerk on duty was Very friendly, welcoming, pleasant. Really a nice person to chat with. She made us feel like a valued guest!

Ann on the desk was very help and she went the extra mile to make my stay a pleasant one. The bed was very comfortable the room spacious and the shower worked perfectly. I would stay again good value for money

We checked in, poor reception from the staff on duty. Went to our room. Was freezimg cold in the room, and the room smelt damp and mouldy. We tried to log into the free wifi that we were assured was operational, it did not work. Went to voice our concerns to reception. We were told she didnt not know how to fix the issue of the wifi internet and when we asked for her to contact her manager or a internet technician we were told no it would have to wait till the next day. We asked for help to show us how to activate the heating, we were told she couldnt leave the reception area unattended so couldnt help us. Raised concern about the smell of mould and asked for another room as our son is asthematic, was told no. Went back to our room, then came back to ask for a refund so we could leave and find somewhere else short notice. Came to a reception area shut up and no one present, but with a note on the reception saying temporarily shut. Rude service and no consideration or respect for guests

Well located on the A34 just 40 minutes from Portsmouth ferry terminal. Very helpful and friendly reception but some difficulties processing the payment due to faulty system. Good value for money on a Friday evening.

The plus features: good location for overnight travel stop; excellent reception staff. The negatives: it's a good thing the reception staff were so helpful as they had a lot to do! Toilet cistern in our first room leaked over the bathroom floor and the carpets were sticky; replacement room better - but due to electrical malfunction (which required all our check-in details to be relayed over the receptionist's mobile phone to an off-site person who could log them) there was no wifi or hot water in the evening (though these were restored by the morning). Bottom line: a standard 1970s-style budget travel hotel badly in need of maintenance and investment.

This is the second time I've stayed in the period of about 6 weeks and on both occasions, no hot water in the morning. The first time totally cold and the second time slightly warm. Otherwise room was good, thank you.

It was acceptable. Clean, comfortable room. Basic but was adequate for a mints sleep. Friendly, pressie all service on arrival.

The room was comfortable but the hotel had a very strong smell of damp both on the communal areas and the room finally cleanliness needs improvjng

Ann at the front desk was great. There are two hotels, north and south that are five minutes away from each other so be mindful when you enter the address on gps. Room is dated, they allow pets so make sure you are ok with that. For the price this room and when compared to others this room is great. We stayed for one night, hot shower and water pressure was amazing. Beds were average but still decent when you factor price in.

Car park not indicated told to use service car park. Hot water not available. Room clean and warm nice television and good point to stop on journey.
