Great location in Ponta Delgada. In the middle of everything, close to the water, tons of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Very nice property making use of a beautiful old Portuguese-style building

The house is indeed charming and they provide a lovely breakfast. Linens were top notch! We liked the central location so we could walk to dinner. We took advantage of the reasonably priced secure on-site parking lot.
Note there is not an elevator so pack light!

This is a lovely little hotel. The rooms are spacious. Our room had a little balcony with seats overlooking the courtyard. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had an early flight leaving before breakfast was served, so takeaway breakfasts were delivered to our room.

This hotel is charming, but there were some problems that made the stay less than perfect.
One problem was that the shower in Room 10 was busted (the holder was busted so you couldn't take a normal shower under the showerhead/nozzle... you had to hold it with your hand.)
Another issue is that we were woken up near midnight on the first night of our stay by people knocking on the door. It was hitel staff, because they were wondering how we had a key to the room when they still had two keycards in their possession.. we showed them our card, and they realized it was their error, but we were exhausted after traveling for 15 hours, so this was very bad timing to interrupt our sleep.
We also found out that the lock to our door wasn't working at all... the room had remained unlocked all day with our possessions inside. Fortunately, nothing happened, but it could have... they had to repair the door lock the following day.
After that, everything was fine.
Breakfasts were decent and the location is good (be aware you have to climb stairs to get to the rooms.)
This would have been a 5 star stay, but the problems we encountered really detracted from the experience.

We adored our stay at this incredible hotel. It is located in the perfect place for walking around town and had a private parking lot that is gated. The hotel is extremely clean and classy. The breakfast was the best we’ve ever had while traveling! I have Celiac Disease and the women at the hotel prepared me a special plate of gluten free pastries every morning. The attention to detail was so appreciated. We absolutely loved our stay here and would come back to this hotel if ever in the Azores again!

Unfortunately, we stayed only one night in this guesthouse and would like to come back next time visiting Punta Delgado. All Perfect ! As we had to leave early for the airport, we got a nice breakfast bag to take with us. Amazing!

Casa das Palmeiras was a nice, quaint breakfast and bed stay. It is surrounded by a number of restaurants and bars - literally steps from the hotel.
The breakfast was good and provided a nice "homey" feel to it. The room itself was nice and neat with quality service.

Beautiful rooms in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Absolutely lovely breakfast every morning. As expected with a historical property, soundproofing in the bedrooms is not the best, but it did not bother us. Would stay again!

Nice location close to everything and walkable. Room was a little tight for 2 people. Washroom was very modern but very small.

I was sad I didn't get to try their famous breakfast as I had to leave for the airport in the morning, so they made me a bagged breakfast and left it on my door in the morning.
The renovation of the building is fresh and the water pressure was amazing.

The building and rooms are beautiful and the view from the top floor is spectacular! The staff were helpful and the breakfasts had a nice variety. The Wifi never worked and would keep disconnect which was quite annoying and it is next to a Main Street which was a little noisy in the night times. Overall definitely would stay here again!

We enjoyed the room with the wonderful view and, of course the breakfast, which was fantastic . All the members of the staff were accommodating and the Charming House was very comfortable and unique. We’ll have lots of great memories of our stay.

I had an AMAZING time at Casa Das Plameiras. It is a beautiful building in a great area. My room had a balcony that overlooked the street. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was perfect and everyone was super friendly.

We loved our stay at Casa Palmeiras. The location is great - right in the middle of town . . . . but still quiet and peaceful inside. The hotel is very clean and comfortable (we loved the tall ceilings and all the architectural details). The price was great as well. We actually liked it so much that we also tried their newer property - Casa Portuguese (also amazing). The breakfast was delicious as well. Lots of great fresh pastries in addition to eggs, etc. The only negative was that they charged for parking. Staff was lovely too :) Would stay again.

Lovely little spot that was so easy to reach by taxi from the airport for 10 euro. Very beautiful room, amazing breakfast in the morning, walkable to shops and restaurants. The bed was mediocre, but that was my only complaint. Staff was welcoming and helpful. All around great stay!

Our plane arrived at 6:45am, which got us to the hotel too early. They were kind enough to allow us to check in a little early so we could get some well-needed sleep.
