Very comfortable room and very clean. Love that they offer free tea and coffee 24/7

Great overnight stay for early flight next morning. Room clean, spacious and quiet

Lovely staff. Comfy bed. Breakfast was terrible. It was cold, and I’ve no idea what the eggs and sausage was made of.

We had an overnight stay before early flight from Luton. Rooms were ok, carpet was very stained in the room and general wear and tear visible. Bathroom and bedding was very clean. Reception and eating area downstairs was very nice. The hotel area outside is not the best, would not venture out late at night. Lots of people hanging around outside along from the hotel. The noise outside in the middle of the night was terrible. Sounded like gangs passing past. We had an early flight so got up at 4am we were very quiet in the room but the person in next room stared banging on the wall then came and kicked on our room door. Terrifying experience. I phoned reception and they sent security up and they sorted it out immediately. They staff and security were very helpful and apologised and advised the person would be removed from their room. Would not stay again due to area.

It’s nothing special but great value for short stay with early morning flight. Staff are friendly and helpful and sort early taxi for you. Only thing to improve is soundproofing windows as lots of noise from external areas

No AC available but other than that, great hotel for the price for a transit night

There was no decaf. They offer free coffee and tea but I cannot drink any of it since it is all highly caffeinated. There is no food available after hours, no snacks, no vending machine, nothing at all. And no eating facilities nearby that I could see. Only on offer was a pizza delivery service, but I am not a fan of pizza, I believe it is highly overrated. The breakfast buffet was good, but again, no decaffeinated options available. Als, no non-dairy milk was provided, my wife is lactose intolerant.

I have booked tistle every month and so far it has been good but yesterday I was not happy due to the people next to my room being loud and shouting I could not sleep and checked out earlier then expected

It was an overnight stay for airport connections The only thing is that they claim to offer a shuttle from the airport when it’s a bus service that the city offers for a fee and the station is not too close to the hotel so at night it was a bit strange

Nice renovated hotel, easy access to public transit. The only drawback is that the surrounding area looked sketchy, not feeling safe to walk out alone in the evening

No A/C in room, so room was hot with warm air circulating with desk fan. Breakfast was average with not much choice.

Very standard hotel. Within easy reach of the airport. Clean. However, its proximity to the airport also means it is nosy. Noisier than hotels closer to the airport.

Stayed here for one night after flying back from Spain and I didn't want a 2 hour drive in the dark back home. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean with a nice flatscreen tv to watch and unwind. Only downside is the coffee machine was in the lobby with no facilities in the actual room but you coupd use the machine's whenever you wanted. That wouldn't stop me using the Thistle Express in future. Its EXCELLENT value for money!!

Nice hotel for a short stay, staff very good.

The hotel was comfortable enough, didn't see anywhere (this might be my fault) that you have to pay for the parking and that it's not included in your stay. Room was clean, could have done with more than 1 pillow each. Breakfast was alright, although they very quickly ran out of bread.

We felt unsafe and we felt our property was also unsafe should we have stayed at this property. There would have been no way we would have been able to enjoy a restful nights sleep at the thistle hotel in Luton for these reasons and that is part of the point of staying at a hotel, to be able to have a restful stay without concern of this type so you can sleep... There were youths playing music in the walkway adjacent to the hotel and they were smoking cannabis, dancing, shouting and there was also a guy shouting at his girlfriend both in person and on his mobile while pacing around our car... you could say this was the fault of the area but this is an unacceptable excuse as it is the area the hotel is situated in and contributes massively to the customer experience.. in the most negative way....

The hotel is clean and was convenient for us as close to the train station. Breakfast was nice but when food would run out, they didn't replace it. Cutlery kept running out as well so lots of people hanging around waiting for it to be replenished. Tables not cleaned quickly enough. Lots of breakfast things just left on tables and no staff clearing up. Before we arrived at the hotel, we got in touch as we had a room booked for a couple for a 3 night stay. On the last night we asked if it was possible to be moved to a family room as our daughter was joining us but they said they couldn't find our booking. Got in touch several more times, even offered to change to a family room for the 3 nights but they just kept saying they couldn't find our booking. Overall the stay was fine but just get the impression staff can't be bothered.

Good location but some individuals who hang out nearby the mall which is 50m at most. Staff make up for the area and a great place to stay.

Great service which makes up for the dow sides. Sabeeha sunny and larita stand out as exceptionally good individuals who make up a strong team. Food could do with some updating and quality

Our room was nice and staff great, right next to a mall with everything we needed, but breakfast was not good, had to crush up sugar cubes for cerials as no normal sugar, how they make eggs into what they call scrambled eggs is a scientific mystery they really should keep to themselves. And the room entry key card had to be updated every time we needed to get in, annoying when you're 9 floors away from reception. Very average in all, but cheap!
