Brilliant modern room that was spacious for 2 adults and 3 children. Hotel was walking distance to Ueno train station, great local food spots, shopping etc. If you like walking, Asakusa is only a 20minute walk along one road. Uneo station is a hub so it's a quick train trip to anywhere in Tokyo. The English speaking hotel staff provide great local expert knowledge regarding sights, food, karaoke, transport. Lots to do and explore in Ueno. Loved this place!

Really enjoyed our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North. This was our second stay with the Mimaru brand, and will definitely recommend people with family or big groups to choose Mimaru Hotel Apts. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed having a kitchenette and dining table!

Great location and friendly staff

Great stay. Great property and great staff. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our larger family. There are 5 of us, so the kids had bunk beds, wife and I had two twins put together for us with the baby. Ample space for eating which was perfect for take out brought back to the room. Great shower and tub with toilet separate. The kitchen was great including the larger fridge that was so much more helpful than the tiny ones you normally get in hotel rooms. The laundry facility was great. Coin operated, normally I don't do laundry but it was raining so it was so helpful to have. The staff was amazing. They were able to help with directions, scheduling taxi, and most importantly help us in a bind. We forgot a package all the way back in Harajuku. I asked if they were able to help call the store to see if it was there. They were able to do so given the language barrier. Unfortunately the store was unable to ship it to us, but we were able to get back there to pick it up. Lastly, they were able to accommodate a late checkout for a nominal fee. Recommend this place for all families, larger parties, those wanting a larger than normal room in Japan. Oh and also it's only about a 5 minute walk to Ueno station

My family (2a2c) stayed in this hotel for 1 week, we all love it! Location is good, just a few minutes walk to everything. Room is spacious and kids love the bunk beds. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

The property is very well kept and maintained with an attentive, happy, and genuinely friendly staff. The room was great for our family - four of us got to make this trip together. Location Notes: We chose the Ueno area because of the beautiful park and because there isn't much of a nightlife scene making for a quieter evening. The hotel and area lived up to those expectations. One thing we didn't really grasp from the map is that the hotel is a bit further walk from the Ueno Train Station than appeared. One of the big draws for this hotel is the proximity to the Ueno Station which gives you excellent access to the rest of Tokyo (especially via the JR Yamonote train line which is a loop around most of the hotspots a visitor/tourist will want to visit during their stay). However, it was a bit of a longer walk from the station to the hotel than looked on the map. It's not a terribly long walk, but we were walking about 10 miles a day so were feeling every step by the end of the day. The big tip is to use the station's Iriya gate which is the northernmost gate of the station with both up and down escalators. Once we discovered that gate it really shortened the walk to the station. Conclusion: The Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North hotel offers a wonderful home base for your Tokyo adventure with easy access to the city through the Ueno station. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and attended to, and the room was comfortable and well-equipped.

This hotel was exceptional, the room was comfortable and spacious. Close enough to Ueno station to make moving about easy but far enough away to be a bit quiet. The staff were amazing and we can't thank them enough for making our trip the best ever. Can't wait to go back as soon as possible.

They gave a gift (drink for the stay which was nice) and communication was very clear.

We travelled with 4 in our family so to have the bunk bed for kids was a great thing to have.

Conveniently located a short walk (5 min) next to Ueno Station. Rooms are clean, neat, modern. Good choice of service apartments for those with families and just want a place to sleep. Friendly hotel staff.

Good value for money and handy location. Great to be in Ueno so that you can use the Skyliner from the airport as it is the fastest option.

The staff were great and extremely helpful and the location was very convenient for museums, the zoo and great shopping at the markets.

All the satffs are highly commendable. Very accomodating and truely polite, nice and helpful. We enjoyed our vacation and stay at Mimaru Ueno North. Will be back at this hotel soon.

More spacious than we were expecting. Comfortable beds and very clean unit. It did get a bit hot at times as aircon was set and couldn't be made cooler. But that was only issue, staff were english speaking and very friendly everything provided right down to make up wipes and toothbrushes! Would stay again
