Friendly staff could not do enough, knowledgeable about area loads of advice on where to go for an evening or even stay in the restaurant.

service was good, polite staff and helpful. My only gripe was the room its self. must of been a corner attic room, needing to get to the corner or into my side of the bed id have to bend over or climb over partner. shared toilet which we wasnt aware of when booking through hotels.com the worst for me was the broken/sunk in mattress / bed. 1 night was enough, was happy to be home back in my own bed. Comfort literally 1 star, would give nothing if possible. to use my hotel points on this stay i would say isnt worth £66 a night.

Clean bedding & towels. Room old fashioned but it was clean. I had a private bathroom but there’s a shared bathroom right outside the door & you could hear people back & for all night & early morning. The shower was awful! Very slow. I had to go and ask for milk as none in room with tea & coffee facilities. Only 1 socket in the room & an extension with another extension was needed for the lamps. Average place to stay, definitely not luxury as in advertisement.

Everything was wonderful in LG tHAI DERM AND SPA. BUT THE MOST WAS BAZZ, THE MANAGER, SO NICE AND HELPING US ALL THE TIME AND THE CHEF, THE FOOD IS AMAZIN, MANY MANY THANK TO BOTH.

The location is great and parking is a bonus. My room was at the back of the guesthouse as requested so all good. The shower is small and the water pressure poor but all in all a great place to stay.

I asked for a quiet room at the back of the guesthouse and that’s what I got so I was pleased. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk into town. Very comfortable beds.

Under new management so a different name on the outside. Bedroom was nice. Ensuite was in need of refurbishment. Good dinner in the Thai restaurant and a decent breakfast.

Chose to stay again for the amazing Thai food. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed due to technical issues which I had not been made aware of. I’d paid extra for breakfast, which was non existent. The electric shower in room 5 didn’t heat up but I did have the warmth of a long black hair on my rather grubby looking sink.

Good points: car parking to front and rear of property, friendly staff, room was a good size, drinks bar on ground floor, stand fan provided in room, Breakfast selection good. Not so Good Points: no mirror under shaving socket/light, the bedside lamps, behind bed and en-suite radiator covered in dust to the extent it activated my allergy, the en-suite shower cubicle had mould and shower temperature fluctuated, the shower safety cord was only an inch from ceiling so couldn't reach it if needed, kettle was dirty and had to ask at reception for it to be cleaned. All the bad points were addressed to manager in the morning. He said he will re-train the cleaning staff, safety cord will be replaced, mould will be cleaned with appropriate cleaning product, and mirror will be positioned under shaver socket.

"Spa" jacuzzi not working but still cost £20 extra. Despite ordering on arrival,breakfast was a 25 minute wait. No filter coffee, no ketchup. There were 2 pats of butter. On requesting more butter, a half full tub of Clover, full of toast crumbs was offered. Very poor.

I book this hotel because it has a spa but i was disappointed because you have to pay to use the sauna or the jacuzzi but the hotel is ok if you are not fussy and you are there to sleep and you don't mind the spiders in the bathroom. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. I've been to many Thai restaurant and their Thai food is not the same taste to all Thai foods I've tasted so we decided not to eat there again.

The room, bed and bathroom are suitable for smaller people than us. The owners were incredible and wonderful people

Perfectly adequate for a stay if you plan to be out and about. Very clean if a little 'tired'. Id be happy to stay there again.

Lovely, unique B&B. Really delighted to find full Thai restaurant evening meal available. Service and hospitality really welcoming. Great full english breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Only downside was not finding the heating switch and unfortunately the tv reception on the top gloor is non-existent, but wifi is good and so can pick up tv players on computer. Wasn't able to take advantage of the sauna and massage services but seemed quite popular. Thank you

Nicely refurbished from stay several years ago (new ownership?). Good breakfast - will try Thai restaurant next time! Ideal for visit to Great Central Railway.

Very nice experience. Manager upgraded from shared bathroom to ensuite. It's a family business clean and tidy, but dated in parts. But i would stay again.

Nice, clean, quiet room, recently renovated. A big tv with a movable screen.

Very friendly owners, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, and we can thoroughly recommend having an evening meal there if you enjoy Thai food, it was excellent.

This is an adequate place to stay. Plus: Very clean. Good maintenance. Minus: Facilities and storage. Rooms 12, 14, and 15 on the top floor share a single toilet. Which is fine, you get what you pay for. However, - the single toilet had a cranky flush - there was a complete lack of storage in my room, not even a small wardrobe or even hooks behind the door to hang clothes, so I had to put my stuff on the bed. It would be quite easy for the property to add a small narrow storage unit in the room.

This was my second visit to this guest house and I plan to go again in about two months time. I find it friendly and of a good all round standard with excellent food and service.
