A most splendid property & not too far for a little stroll into Keswick, you can also walk around Derwant water if your feeling fit, property itself was lovely with a warm freindly host to welcome you when you arrive, breakfast was amazing which set you up for the day. We shall be definitely visiting again. Thank you.

We stayed at Burnside for three nights. We had a lovely breakfast each morning, with wonderful homemade vegetarian sausage,marmalade and jam. The host Sharon was very helpful with lots of local knowledge. Our room was clean and spacious with a very comfy bed. Enjoyed having a sofa in the room to sit on. Walkable distance from B&B to Keswick via old Threlkeld railway line.

Couldn't find fault with Burnside. Lovely room, wonderful breakfasts and great host. On outskirts of Keswick, but pleasant walk to town centre along old railway track.

Sharon was really warm & welcoming, informative & helpful. We stayed in the cosy double room which was well decorated & contained everything needed but was compact. We would've prefered a bigger room with kingsize bed but it was the only room left when booking but this did not spoil our stay in any way. Then breakfast was plentiful with good quality ingredients & Sharon's homemade jam & marmalade were delicious. Off street free parking was available across the road & slightly up the hill. There is a lovely walk along the cycle path in to town also.

Sharon was a lovely host, very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and ready as soon as we came down at our chosen time. The room was small however well thought out and very well equipped with space for our walking kit, tray for our shoes etc.Access into the town is handy via the cycle path.

We had a lovely time at Burnside and Sharon was a great host! Our room was beautiful and incredibly comfy. Very clean throughout and had everything you need. The breakfasts were the highlight however, fantastic service, best range I've had at a B&B, and every option was delicious. Would highly recommend!!

Right from our initial very friendly reception by Sharon we knew that Burnside was going to be a great choice and we weren't at all disappointed. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet and the location was very convenient. The breakfasts were always delicious and served with a smile every day. What more could you want from a bed and breakfast?

Beautiful B&B well situated for Keswick town centre. The attention to detail was amazing. Our room was so comfortable with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Sharon the owner was really friendly and helpful and her breakfasts are amazing. We would definitely go back there and would recommend you try it. You won't be disappointed.

We loved our stay at the Burnside, it is everything a B&B should be, cosy and friendly and with a wonderful breakfast. In fact the vegetarian breakfast looked so good it tempted me away from the full English, which takes some doing! It is a little way out of town but it is very easy to find and there is parking on the road opposite, which is good if you've had a long car journey and just want to park and relax. We'd definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at the Burnside! Our room was clean and had a beautiful view and very comfortable bed. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Sharon’s home cooked breakfasts were delicious and set us up nicely for our long hikes each day. The B&B’s location in Keswick was a quick walk to town and perfect for traveling around the Lakes. We can’t wait to come back!

We arrived early at the Burnside, as a result our room wasnt ready when we arrived, but there was no bother when we asked to drop our bags off.We went to explore Keswick, and returned later to the Burnside, and went to our room - #2. It was (like the rest of the accommodation) spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated throughout.The room had a very comfy double bed, reasonably sized ensuite with a good shower, along with a good sized TV and tea/coffee making facilities. We were really pleased with the room.Breakfast was really well done, using good quality ingredients and generous portions.The owner was really friendly, and happy to offer recommendations or directions for the local area. The Burnside is located about a 10 min walk out of the centre of Keswick, and theres a nice ex-railway track in to town that you can use which is free of any traffic. We loved it at the Burnside, and are looking forward to going back there soon.
