This is a wonderful place from which to explore Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! The B&B is clean and comfortable, and it has a lovely porch and backyard if you want to spend a little time relaxing outdoors. The hosts are warm and welcoming and have great suggestions for dining throughout Bar Harbor (our two best meals were Eric’s recommendations). My partner and I wanted to spend long days hiking in the park, and we greatly appreciated the takeaway breakfast options—they were delicious and incredibly convenient for us. Based on the quality of the takeaway breakfast and the lovely treats they set out in the afternoon, I have no doubt that the full breakfast is amazing! The inn is just a short walk from the main Bar Harbor area, which means you get a little reprieve from the noise while still having access to all the restaurants and shops. We couldn’t have asked for more, and we’d absolutely stay here again if we return!

Absolutely loved this Bed & Breakfast! Eric was a great host and incredibly friendly. The rooms were lovely and very clean. The breakfast was great and the property was gorgeous and well maintained. Rocking chairs on the porch were the icing on the cake. Would highly recommend anyone staying here!!

Very well maintained, clean, comfortable house within easy walking distance to Bar Harbor main street but not too close to the crowds and traffic. Breakfasts were excellent and the garden was beautiful! Would highly recommend.

The breakfasts were amazing. Our room was very nice and I liked having the option of having service in the room or not. The cookies and breads in the afternoon were appreciated.

Fantastic stay at Holbrook House. We stayed in Compass Rose. It is a large room with a modern bathroom and recent renovations. The small balcony is nice. The breakfast was delicious. There is coffee and tea all day long. About 5 min walk to town and restaurants.

We were in town for a wedding so we didn’t spend a great deal of time on the property, but it was so pleasant. We wish we could have spent more time on the spacious relaxing porch! The people were welcoming and just lovely! They had food or snacks available and the breakfast was delightful! The town was close enough for us to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable and you couldn’t hear any of the other guests while in your room. It was just a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it for a great vacation spot!

We stayed here for 6 nights and thought the property was fantastic. The location is perfect, easily walking distance to the main square, the coast, grocery stores, etc. Parking is right in front of the property so that's not an issue. A fairly gourmet breakfast (and VERY tasty) is served daily along with fresh jucies and coffee. There is always an option for an alternative breakfast if you dont like or dont have time for the main entree. On thing to note, and it's totally preference, but there are no TVs here. There is very good wifi so you can watch from your device. Also, the rooms are somewhat small, but not in a bad way, but remember that you are staying in a 1860s era cottage. That said, it's very clean, great water pressure and QUIET. I love kids, but it's very nice that this property doesn't allow children. I'd highly recommend this property to those looking for something in this area.

My husband and I had a wonderful four night stay here. The breakfast was gourmet and so much thought was put into every detail. Our room had a great shower, fantastic bed/sheets/pillows, and blocked light well. Despite being next to check-in it was very quiet. The staff was so friendly, gardens were beautiful, and location was close to everything we needed.

It is a nice place with good location. The common area required guests wearing masks all the time, which is not pleasant.

We traveled to retrace our honeymoon Bar Harbor has changed since it's been 48 yrs! Michelle and Eric are very welcoming hosts, downtown is an easy walk and Acadia is easily accessible and outstanding Eagle Lake in particular Highly recommend Holbrook

the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful in helping locate the best places to eat and travel. the estate was first class. well kept and clean. could use a minor facelift. However, I am looking forward to my next stay.

Excellent location to everything ( Acadia, harbor, ocean walk) . Fresh baked scones/ cookies for afternoon tea a nice touch. Rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and made to order. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Holbrook House was a very well-kept home with the feeling of a historic house with new amenities. The host was very informed of the area. The breakfast was included and delicious. There was coffee, tea, fruit, and fresh-made cookies in the afternoon.

When we booked, there was only one room left so we grabbed it even though it was over-budget for our trip. We are so glad we did. If you are going to be over-budget, it should be worth it and it was. Room 12 is a lovely, very well appointed suite. Comfort, comfort, and a private patio with a lovely garden behind it. The main part of the house can be accessed at anytime, where coffee, wine glasses, etc.are always available. Eric was helpful and treated us very well. The gardens are beautiful. This is a first class property. Sorry we only had two nights.
