Great budget hotel off the beaten path but nice.

You have to have a vehicle or walk atleast 15 min to go anywhere interesting

The beds were ok. The snacks in the room should be free with the room not 4 times the price.

I thought the grounds and vibe were really nice. It was so in large part from help from Ricardo and Mariel at the front desk. Also they followed up and were very helpful in getting my kindle shipped back the US for a good price.

It’s like a condo unit mix with a boutique hotel. Very clean and stylish decor. Great for the price.

Was a nice only think was the surprised hidden fee of environmental that was charged at checkout but was never mentioned at all on Expedia

I stayed at room 201, toilet flusher won’t work properly and the guy at the concierge told me “to open and fix it, it’s easy. If you can’t fix that then we can send someone.” Also, I paid $13 extra for breakfast and they only served 2 pieces of toast bread 1 butter 1 strawberry jam, fruit, coffee and juice. Personally I don’t eat fruit in the breakfast. I prefer an egg but it’s extra cost. There is no cover at the balcony door for mosquitoes. Housekeepers are nice and clean %100 But concierge and management is weak.

It was very nice to stay there but it’s pretty noisy. Other than that everything was good.

It is a great one-night stay, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Find another place for breakfast if you are starving.

Overall, I would not recommend this property for the paid price. It is possible to find cheaper accommodation in a better location with better service. Details below: Location: The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. The street to the hotel is very bumpy and it is not a real road. Pretty dangerous to go there by scooter and taxis charge you extra because of the poor street conditions. Room: Overall, the beds are comfortable and the room is clean. On the other hand, we checked-in in room 201, at the end of the hotel and did not have WiFi in the room. This took them an entire day to fix. Furthermore, the water pressure in the bathroom is insanely weak. It took over 10 minutes to shower entirely, simply because there was not enough water coming out. Service: The doorman was nice to us and helped us order taxis to come and pick us up. We paid European prices over Hotels.com to have breakfast included in our stay. On the first day, we ordered a fruit platter that was free of charge. On the second day, the staff told us that having eggs with our breakfast would cost 60 additional Pesos. Absolutely scandalous! Not recommendable!

Was a great option. A little loud at night (mostly from upstairs neighbors) and need to figure out better ventilation in the bathroom but the hotel was great, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. They offer a unique ‘water’(hibiscus, cucumber, lemon) each day which is refreshing and a nice touch.

The Strabon was very clean and comfortable, I don’t give it a 5 star review because of the difficulty to find it and the streets were full of huge holes full of mud and rocks, not fun

It's a beatuful boutique hotel a little bit far from the main street but there are different options in the area. The swimming pool is not available at this moment, its a shame

Good area near lots of restaurants. The road is not paved so just a little harder to get to. Luis the cook and the lady at reception are awesome!

Only thing I’d note is that Google and Apple Maps differ on the location of Strabon (and everywhere else there, it seems). So I thought I was 12 minutes walk away from where Strabon actually is. Which was fine, it was still very walkable, but thought I was in a somewhat different area. Nice place, full plumbing. Somewhat louder music during afternoon/happy hour than my taste prefers but fun atmosphere and otherwise quiet in AM. Small pool but was never occupied. Have cash for mini bar items; I expected to use card/charge to room and they desired cash. Maybe bring your own shampoo and conditioner as it’s standard hotel stuff that didn’t work super well for my hair. I didn’t have breakfast but saw it and it looked good. Walkable to a few restaurants (Curry and Jungle Tax are steps away, other restaurants are 5-15 minutes walking). Coffee shops- one around the corner and a few others again 5-15 minutes further. Walk to the main shopping drag/busy area was about 20-25 minutes. I felt on alert walking alone (female) in dark and the roads are somewhat uneven gravel, but had no issues aside from 1 catcall lol.

New building,small and clean and quiet

Great atmosphere and staff!! We loved the pool. Very close to town, and also walking distance to a lot of restaurants/cafes. The small drive-in to get there is rough, but worth it. And only a 20 minute drive to the beach/tourist area.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at The Strabon. It's quaint and clean, and the ambiance is lovely. Plus, it's easy on the budget! The location is great too - walkable to Tulum Centro and lots of food options close by. What really stood out to us was the concierge service we received before and at the start of our trip. Prior to our trip, a concierge member reached out to me with details on how we can book transportation to/from the airport and a list of activities/excursions that they can book for us. We booked our transportation and took advantage of two of the excursions, and The Strabon helped us with it all which really took a lot of the planning off our plate. When we arrived, the concierge member helped us get settled and even offered to provide our breakfast early since we would be gone on our excursion during breakfast time our first 2 days. The friendliness and catering of the staff was the most memorable part of our stay.

We didn’t like it there so we checked out and booked a different hotel which was a lot nicer than here.

Unfortunately we had to move after two days, we could no longer stand the sewage smell in our room. Construction started above our room very early and was incredibly loud. The area this is located in has no lighting and felt extremely unsafe. I would not return.

The property is simple yet modern and relaxing. The check in was easy, it was 6 of us and they required all of our ids. We were currently staying at a hotel in Cancun but didn’t feel like making the drive back so we stayed there for the night. Not everyone had their ID but they didn’t make a big deal out of it. Only negative thing would be that there are a lot of potholes on all roads that lead to this hotel. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

It’s complicated, for go to the Downtown, of Tulum. We were walking about 30 every w or more for go outside.

Although a little out of the way, the Strabon is a great quiet, new, and clean destination. We felt very secure there. A lot of great places to eat nearby along with bicycle renting shops. The courtyard where the small café is located is lush, beautifully landscaped and maintained.The staff has been very courteous and professional. We will certainly come back.
