I was on my way home from a trip and called to book a room. When I realized I was closer to home I decided to just finish the drive home. I called to cancel about 10 minutes after I made the reservation and they still charged me. I explained what happened and the woman didn’t seem to care. She wasn’t understanding and she wasn’t at all friendly. She said “you booked it today. No refunds.” I was so disappointed.

Nice spot to stay, you get what you pay for. The bathroom door stuck when you tried to open it, but it made for entertainment whenever someone had to try and get out. LOL. It's kind of tricky they must own all 3 hotels in a row we had to go down 2 buildings to check in and out.

The room was very small only one end table by the bed and there was an extension cord plugged in for the mini fridge, air conditioner and coffee pot very unsafe

An old motel. In need of a make over. But clean.

Bathroom window was painted shut. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Light in bathroom was not enclosed all the way. Part of the fixture was broken.

The room was in poor condition. It was disappointing.

Staff wasnt available till 8 am for 3 motels. Seemed odd. But maybe cant get help. Clean , cheap place for a night

Rooms very outdated , which was fine after all it is in northern Michigan. Our beds were fairly uncomfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. We just basically stayed there to sleep so I would stay again for the price

The outside if the motel is somewhat rundown and off putting. But the inside was perfect - clean, updated, etc. no hairdryer which most places have but never mind. Office lady very helpful. If stay here again!

This is actually one of three properties in a row that all operate out of the Thunderbird. You don’t know until you walk up to the office and see the sign on the door. When booking, it says that it doesn’t have a front desk and someone will come out to meet you. Disregard that. The accommodations are fine for the price. The only true gripe I have is the sheets were put on wrong. Two flat sheets laid across the bed, leaving bare mattress open at the foot. This was covered by folded blankets meaning your and everyone else’s bare feet were on the mattress under a very warm blanket. At check out, you’d assume you would go back to the office at the Thunderbird. If it’s before 8am, you’ll see a note saying to just leave the key in the hotel room. Only one of the pools were open; it was indoors. The outdoor pool was closed until further notice (found out via note on the gate) and the indoor jacuzzi was emptied and in a state of disrepair. Overall, for a place to sleep, 3/5. Staff was nice and courteous. Gave us coupons for local businesses and discounted tickets to the ferry.

I didn't like that when I went to one hotel that I had reserved to check in. And they told me to go check in at a second hotel. Only to tell me there when I checked in that I'd be staying at the third hotel. Which was in between the 2 that I just went to.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and peaceful

Clean beds. A/C seemed to smell up the room, so we left it off.

I was told the office was open until 11pm. When i arrived at 1005pm i was told to go to another hotel to sign in. After driving for hours it was a bit frustrating.

It was nice. Quiet. Very friendly staff. The door or the lock needs to be fixed had to push on door to lock. Besides that had a wonderful time

A phone in the room would have been nice.

Spiderwebs and spiders in various areas of the room. Rooms old and in need of remodeling.There was a big gap at the bottom of the door and we could hear people arguing in the parking lot and light was shining in all night.

Staff wasn't very helpful.

Old, run down property, room still has very old carpet, we found 2 bugs inside, thankfully not bedbugs. Bedspreads stained. Staff very polite and friendly, the most positive thing about the motel. Someone outside our room smoking pot. Would not return

Rooms were a good price, clean, not too out dated. Check in was a long painful experience.

This was exactly what we expected and hoped for. Rooms are outdated, our shower handle was pretty loose, and the coffee maker was broken. However, we had a great time! Pools were fun, staff was nice.

Rooms need renovation and repairs
