The location is good, but this place is definitely not a four star hotel. The staff is not very nice. The pool is has nice views, but it is small and often crowded. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The Emiliano hotel has a big reputation in Brazil; I knew it from São Paulo, so I stayed in Rio because of that. The hotel is very nice; it was designed by the architect Arthur Casas (whom I'm particularly a fan of), but the hotel operator definitely doesn't live up to the architect's name. The service is much inferior; it almost feels like a 4-star hotel. They have good food, but overall, it's poor service. I booked a relatively ‘cheap’ internal room; we had thought about staying in an Ocean view room, but luckily, we didn't because it cost twice as much. I wouldn't have felt good paying so much money for this hotel, really.

Emiliano is still beautiful, with fantastic staff. Breakfast is delicious, rooftop is incredible. A must in Rio !

The service at this property was top notch. The staff always greeted you with a smile and were happy to help in any way. The property location was great. Walk across the street to cococabana beach and short walk to Impena beach. The views from the pool were amazing. There were some fabulous (and cheap) restaurants right outside the door of the hotel.The breakfast at the hotel was very expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

Overpriced and overrated establishment Swimming pool on the roof deck is not fit for purpose …basic accommodation with no view of Rio …very overpriced with no complimentary refreshments offered in the basic rooms .There are no facilities in this establishment , service is poor to say the least and lack of atmosphere …avoid making a reservation here it will ruin your time in Rio

100% recommended. We loved everything about the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel. Service was perfect, everybody knows your name, room and they are so attentive. The rooftop is breathtaking and the view from our room was a dream come true.

Lovely stay, heavenly place. Great staff. My only issue was the room was called a "King Courtyard." It's very expensive, so I was really disappointed to see it's just a regular room (albeit a nice one) with an ugly view. The hotel does not even have a courtyard! I complained and Bruna from Guest Experiences was very kind. This name should be changed because it is false advertising. The location at the end of Copacabana next to Ipanema is great. Octavio on the amazing rooftop restaurant was also very charming. All in all a great stay.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was extremely attentive & kind. Level of service here was lovely. Sheets were great, shower presser wonderful, little added extras by the hotel staff made it a special stay. I really enjoyed it. design & interior were very cool. Great Stay!

The staff made me feel as if I was the owner of the place. Very friendly and courteous. At times it was as if they could read my mind. I will only stay there when I return to Rio.

I loved this hotel. Everything was wonderful. Some areas for improvement including the check-in process as well as the absence of any staff on arrival by car outside. One has to go through a small door before we see anyone welcoming you. Also, they should stop charging for in room coffee.

Now, before i start this review, let me tell you we are a family of jaded and spoked New Yorkers used to stay at great boutique hotels all over the world. I didn’t know Emiliano existed , but our friends from Sao Paolo recommended. We were smitten. The ambiance , the suite , the culinary delight, the decor , the view from the rooftop, the service , the location! We loved it so much we switched our reservation at Sao Paolo for another Emiliano. One of the best places i have stayed in!

The hotel is incredibly beautiful. The rooms and the roof make full use of the stretch of copacabana it faces. The restaurant is nice and included breakfast more generous than expected. My only complaint was not receiving the room upgrade upon checkin despite the room type showing available. But we loved the room we booked.

the management and staff has an amazing personal touch, I can’t be more satisfied from a hote experience, been coming here for years and it is still the best hotel I ever stayed at in Rio. Yes beats Fasano by a margin
