Great onsen in atami for great value !

Beautiful view, nice facilities, kind owner and huge onsen! Can't wait to stay again during the fireworks!

great friendly service. the on site onsen was awesome and the morning brekkie was an authentic touch. a really great experience and the room was comfortable, clean and good value.

while we were there it attracted some holidaying youths who were very disruptive the whole night

Very nice stay, Japanese rules but if you obey them then its a fantastic place to stay Basic Japanese breakfast Great views of the bay from the rooms and has a rooftop terrace too. Great Onsen

Very good location. Breakfast included. The guesthouse has it's own onsen. The owner is very friendly and helping.

No locker in the dorm.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location can't be beaten. It's 5 mins from the station and the view over the water is perfect. The onsen was clean and comfortable.

HUGE bed spaces in the dorm, with plenty for each person. Good location near the train station. Tattoo friendly onsen on site.

Location to Atami station was good

Was cold and tired, needs investment and uplifting. Check-in was slow and fussy, and it feels basic and dated

The host is super nice and helpful. He is always seeking for improvement from the guest. He giving advise for the itinerary and saving the money. I really appreciate him for providing a guest house with a reasonable price to the traveller. The price of the breakfast is super cheap! The location of this guest house is fantastic, just 5 min walk from the station. The view outside the house is excellent, which I shall stay longer for it. Last but not least, the Onsen is great and relaxing Overall, this Guest house is extraordinary. I am looking forward for another stay here.

- have spiders in the room - wifi is not stable - lobby didn't provide warm air which is extremely cold during the stay - everything have to pay extra cost e.g. toothbrush, towels - spa wasn't available whole day (limited hours only)

The location of the guesthouse is good as it’s near the train station. The host is very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the Onsen every night. They have different types of rooms to choose. It’s suitable for solo travellers, couples, families etc. It also has a great view to see the fireworks if you come at the fireworks periods. I did enjoyed my days here and recommend to ppl who are planning to visit Atami.

Brilliant location Very friendly staff

It was very clean and conveniently located from the station. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The view from the rooftop was also very nice. Although there was no festival when my mom and I visited, it’s bound to be a great spot for watching fireworks.

Guesthouse had terrific hot spring, but the hours were too short, alternating M/F turns. Fun breakfast food provided. Fast, short walk from station. And great view of city and lights at night. The beach is awesome, with hot springs in the water! Whole town is fun, with good food (Indian) and many shops and historic volcanic hot springs to visit.

Return walk back to hotel, recommend taxi.

that the roof terrace closes at 10pm, and that the onsen is limitedly available

- no toilet and shower in the room. - public bath/onsen is terrible, very small, and time shared between ladies and men; - no morning bath; - no toothbrush or any ameneties. - parking extra 1000 JPY. - have to pay extra for towel, yukata, etc. - rooms not sound proof. - noisy neighbors. - have to make your own bed, - no fridge in the room, no water boiler - scammy prices during weekends and National Holidays.

It was a clean bed and the host gave a tour.

It was so cramped and many people. They don’t allow check-in past 10pm. The place was hard to walk to because it was hilly

Great clean and modern facilities with comfortable and private bunks beds. Location was close to what I was doing (visiting Atami Scuba) although not so convenient for "downtown" Atami (not a problem for me). An absolute bonus which I wasn't expecting was the superb view of the harbour from the rooftop, allowing an awesome view of the Atami Fireworks and meant I didn't have to go anywhere else to watch them.

The onsen is shared between males and females (not at the same time!) so the available hours are not so convenient. Also the onsen is not very deep. But still great to have an onsen after a long day in the freezing ocean!

Very well located, follow their instructions instead of Google maps, it's way easier. Everything was nice including the staff, the rooftop to see fireworks or sunrise, and the breakfast which was delicious.

If you are scared of heights like me, climbing on the upper bed can be a challenge since there's nothing to hold on and keep your balance on the last ladder's steps. It took me a while to figure it out - I couldn't even reach the bed without freezing, but the trick is to help yourself with the wall separating you from the next bed. If someone else is sleeping there, just warn them so you don't scare them off when they see your hand through their curtain.
