Very unkept place. Went into my room and it was disgusting. A bug scurried across the floor (I believe a small roach). Door didnt close all the way unless we forced it hard. Overhead light was flickering on and off really fast when flipped on. Dead bugs in the crevice of the bathroom where tile is missing. The room was so musty and the air so thick it was untolerable. Neighbors on both sides were very loud and yelling was going on outside too. I am not someone that is hard to please but this place was nasty and the receptionist said I could take another room but no refund for a room I didnt even use. We opted to sleep in the car parked somewhere else as we were two women feeling very unsafe and unclean there. Pretty sad we felt more safe in a car. Would have liked a refund because 140 for a room I walked in and then out of was a hard pill but it felt so much better than staying there.

It was ok everyone was friendly but make sure if u want your room clean and more towel to tell them because they will not clean it if you dont ask first hotel i ever stayed in worked that but other then that it was a good stay

Our stay was horrible! Holes in the walls, busted microwave, rattling can shoved up in bathroom vent, no ice machine, people in and out all night next door because people live there. Just all around filthy like housekeeping hasn't done anything but swap out sheets. Had I known these things, i would have booked elsewhere. The photos on the website are NOT what you will be walking into. I didn't want to make this review, but I have emailed and called, and no one will call/email back about a refund, and I don't want to hear an excuse about remodeling. I saw NO rooms under renovation, and if that were the case, then out of towners/overnighters definitely should be put into those rooms instead of the horrible ones.

Can't express just dissapointing this property is! Stayed for a concert at Pine Knob. Claimed to have been overbooked at check in, so we got up charged for a lesser room. Oddly, only 5 other cars on the entire property, over 2 days. Immediately aware of the overwhelmingly present " car urine " aroma throughout entire hotel. First room was filthy, sink had no drainage plumbing (bucket full of stagnant water, under sink). Towels are so stained and thin, they resemble auto rags. Missing fixtures, smoke detectors, wires dangle from cieling, blood on toilet seat and handle, previous tenants belongings still in various areas. Stained bedsheets, as well as comforter. Floors and hallways are absolutely gross. Second room was even worse (on 1st floor)! Multiple units have broken glass windows, torn out screens. Ours was unable to be secured shut . Very unsafe for ground level guests. AC barely functioned, walls are paper thin. Many "guests" appeared to be living there permanently. Definitely had a homeless shelter look and feel. We saw multiple people access their way into building, without "key". Felt unsafe . Just glad to check out and never return. Strongly DO NOT recommend this property. Save your time, energy, and money by looking elsewhere.

Almost difficult to tactfully describe our experience here!? First off, this IS NOT a legit American inn Suites property. Claimed the property was overbooked, only to up charge for lesser accommodations. Oddly, there were less than five cars on the entire property the entire weekend,lol. The lack of cleaning, proper upkeep, unbelievably bad odors ( strong cat urine smell throughout both floors), broken lights, missing fixtures, water on floors, broken ac, non securing dirst floor windows, broken door locks, trash from prev tennants, etc. The signage falsely claims that a key is needed for entry, which we proved otherwise at 2 separate entry points. Even after changing rooms, the litany of problems contined to rise. Literally just thankful to leave and never return. Simply do yourself a favor and ignore the old "catfish pics" posted on their website! Strongly advise not patronizing this establishme nt.

So many homeless hanging around! This place needs some major updates! I felt like I was in a homeless hotel. When we left there was a woman sitting outside our door.

This is the 2nd worsr hotel we have ever stayed in. Filthy. Everything is broken and old. Disgusting.

In need of drastic remodeling, TV kept saying no access, so couldn’t watch. Several hallways confusing. Used for Pine Knob concert but lots of winding, dark roads on way back. Poor experience overall.

The room had old worn out furniture, the smoke detector was dangling from the ceiling, the light in the bathroom would not turn off, the bedside lamp would not stay on, the refrigerator hadn’t even been shimmed to be solid it was wobbly. The mattress was hard and had a very thin pad on it. I could see through the sheet and see the pattern of fabric on the mattress. The blanket was barely thicker than the sheet. And the climate control unit was dirt and barely adequate.

Property is in need to a major overhaul. Replace broken fixtures. New paint. Repairs to the cable tv.

Property needs a lot of work. Stained bedspread, no towels or soap in the bathroom. Pool was not functioning. Mattress on the ground in back parking lot. Lots of weed consumption going on there.

First of all the room was very hot it took hours to cool it off and the tv would lose its connection after about two minutes over and over again the receptionist said it was because of a storm 3 days earlier also the bathtub was filthy the elevator was ancient that’s about it. Won’t go there again.

We pulled in to an old camper parked in the lot with many unsavory people around along with a dirty mattress on the grass & people loitering around. The room lacked any soap, shampoo, and the rug was so filthy my grandchild's feet were black after walking around there. We woke up very itchy after sleeping in the bed. We ended up leaaving a day early because of the state of the whole place. We did not feel safe there. I would recommend never staying there.

Room was unsafe and unclean. Open wires hanging from the ceiling from where the smoke detector was stolen. The asst mgr said it was normal..

The girl who checked us in was great, after that it was all down hill. The entire place was grungy. The pool was DISGUSTING!!! There were bandages and medicinal patches floating around in the green water, and wet cloth couches for deck seating. The walls are so thin we could hear everything that went on throughout the hotel. When I checked in I made a point to say that I would need a receipt when we checked out as I was being reimbursed for the room, but the guy who checked us out didn’t even know how to print a receipt and when I asked when someone would be in who could help me he said “I don’t know it varies” so now I’m out the $168 because I have no receipt. I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

Employee at front desk was polite. Hallways were disgusting.. ceiling leaking, pool cloudy, sauna didnt work. No hot tub like in the description. There was also a nasty smell.

Gross! It was an emergency stay due to power outages but I would never stay there again.

No coffee and cream in the room but a coffee pot with a used coffee filter was inside the room. One opened package of creamer was also in the room. When I went to the front desk to ask for coffee, of course they were out. The bar soap is so small and I never seen any hotel carry that type of soap. The wash clothes were more like rags instead of wash clothes. I can go on and on

Bath tub was disgusting…fan in bathroom falling out..tv did not work (I had to find power cord myself in order to watch tv) staff said nothing they can do til morning and it was only 9:30 at night..I checked out next morning at 9:30 …will not stay again

The hotel was not what was advertised. The rooms were disgusting. Half the hotel was torn apart or broken. It smelled like cigarettes. Most smoke detectors were ripped out of the way.

Checked out almost immediately because of domestic disturbance next to my room. Many police showed up. Room was dated and worn.

Our beds were unstable and would flip when you sat or laid on them because the frames were broken and held up with unstable 2x4 boards. 1 of the queen beds in our room was completely unusable. The blankets were stained with black marks and the chair at the desk was broken so when my son sat in it, he fell backwards. The shower head on the shower came off when adjusting the spray features which caused the water to spray all over the ceiling. The pet policy was not followed as there were multiple dogs over 25lbs who were not leashed and barked throughout our entire stay, night and day to the point that other residents were screaming in the hallways to "shut those dogs up" on multiple occasions. Children roamed the hotel hallways unattended, screaming, crying and playing tag throughout the building. There isnt an area for dogs to go potty outside unless its in the grass between parked cars in the parking lot. Ultimately we were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel hallways smelled like Marijuana and the flooring through the halls was peeling up so badly that we kept tripping on pieces as we walked. The carpet in the room was dirty that our feet turned black when walking barefoot in our room so we kept our shoes on the rest of our stay.

Everything was great

Room had terrible air conditioning. Housekeeping was unacceptable. Mopping floors with NO wet floor signs. All corridors completely soaking wet . People obviously living in hotel. Horrible. Smoking outside of hotel rooms thru windows. Sad. Paid 90.00 for one night. Would have been better to sleep in my truck.
