The positives:
- Great location; i was in LA for work and it was in a quick neighborhood, feels safe, easy to get to century city from here
- Lobby had nice vibes
The cons:
- No one can in to clean the room during my 3 nights stay; beds remained un-made; no trash collection and clear out; no towel replacement
- The AC was broken and too loud; i had to turn off the AC, it was so loud it was impossible to sleep in it
- The water pressure was horrible - tough to get a good shower
- The shower area had mold on the walls; looked like it had been awhile since someone had cleaned the walls / shower area

The HOTEL SAYS DOGS ALLOWED - THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME EXTRA FOR THE DOGS. THE AC DODNT WORK. THE DOOR WOULDNT OPEN. TOTAL FIRE TRAP. THE STAFF WERE LACKADAISICAL AND UNCARING. NEVER AGAIN

Resort fees are ridiculous. The “gym” was next door and awful. Not sure what the resort was….

I arrived very late after a 7 hour delayed flight. Perhaps I couldn't appreciate the design aesthetic but the walls painted black gave the hotel a dark, foreboding feel. It wasn't much better in the light of day. The person at the front desk was not especially welcome; the scent of her dinner permeated the lobby. The room itself was okay -- the shower was wonderful. At the point of departure, I was charged every fee imaginable, many of which seemed without merit to me. I slept well but for what I eventually paid, it didn't seem warranted. This is one hotel I will not revisit.

The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are more like a hostel.

The room is a bit small. The staff are wonderful! Very accommodating and helpful. Nothing bad to say about Beverly Hills.

Our place to go when in LA
The second floor was good, no mold or any water issues . The elevator may need extra care. Staff polite and respectful. Parking available for extra fee
The carpets overall may need to be removed.
Hard floors will be better to improve all areas . It is an Art Deco Style hotel

Staff were amazing !!

Expect to pay a hundred dollars more than you thought, they charge a lot for parking and resort fee? Like they're in Vegas or something, not sure what the fee was for, the only thing I can think is free disgusting coffee that you had to walk 10 mins to to another start hotel

Price did not meet with the overall quality of service.

Step back in time to the middle of the 1900s and read a book set in that time period. This hotel and it's sister hotel have character. The hallway carpet is a little threadbare but it's a charming place, in wall AC and all. Great value and safe neighborhood.

Location was great

The property is really rundown and tired. My room smelled. The furniture is old and beat up. The location is great, but the place is not much to ride home about. It was probably cool 40 years ago. The only saving Grace for the place is the bar downstairs. It’s a little cute place where the locals get together and everybody knows everybody. It was fun hanging out over there and getting to meet some people.

I got the sense that my bathroom had not been sufficiently cleaned. I found two hairs in the sink and one hair on the bedding under the sheets. Parts of the carpet were ripped/ stained in the hallway. Also, it was not advertised that the pool was in another location. Staff was very kind and courteous.

My daughter's experience at Maison 140 was absolutely fantastic. The staff was so welcoming, and the room felt homely. I would recommend everyone to stay there when they visit Beverly Hills. I truly enjoyed myself.

Parisian inspired in design and size too…

I stayed here a few years ago and loved it. This time, the hotel was runned down, bleach stains on the carpet, water smell in the hallway, trash that was never picked up when we checked in. I would not stay here again.

Nice little hotel. Very central in Beverly Hills. Smells a bit musty but the staff were really nice and the free champagne by the pool was a treat. I also liked the red velvet bed-boards. I had a good experience.

Really good service and great room cleaning.
The bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
Very satisfied.

The staff was helpful. They allowed us to check in when room was ready which was 2 hours early. The parking is easy and convenient. The location is the best. The shower had very hot water which I loved. The TV never worked. We put a request for service 3 times. The hotel has a smell that I think comes from the carpets. We asked for the room to be serviced while we were out. When we returned later that afternoon housekeeping said they was getting to our room next but we needed to rest at that point. The free coffee is nice. We didn't utilize the free champagne. I was willing to stay here again. My husband was not.

Got to my hotel room, pulled back the bed cover and saw stains on the bed sheet. Not sure how often they change sheets or if it was a stain that wouldn’t come out but that was pretty gross. Tiny bathroom. The decor is….interesting.

My room was damp, and smelled like damp or humidity. The sheets etc were damp to touch when I arrived at first. Curtains are hanging off and damaged etc.
It’s a rough place in a nice area, cheap and was fine for a couple of nights.

This property is very rundown when you walk in there’s a massive hole in the wall with a plastic covering it up and in the room there’s so much rust etc I would not recommend this property at all it’s definitely not a hotel

The room was disgusting. Upon checking in we were in our room for 1 hour and packed our bags and walked out. On our way out staff was not up front and did not even care to wait to complain. The phones were filth. The carpet had all these random white stains that were disgusting, also on the comfortable. The towels had poop stains and that were fresh and had not been washed (we have pictures). The place was disgusting and a heath hazard. In the short time we were there we heard banging on the walls in the middle of the night. We had just driven from Arizona and were so disgusted we preferred to pack up, jump in our car and drive to San Diego at 1 AM. Don’t believe me? Check the yelp reviews and see what other people said. I have yet to write one my self. Not checking the reviews first was my mistake. I booked it at the last minute and I sure paid for that mistake.

Rooms dirty (light switches, carpet, bedding), NO HOT WATER on morning of May 8th. Would love a refund. Not what I'd expect from a boutique hotel in Beverly Hills.
