I have been renting houses/cabins/condo's for short stays for over 30 years - probably more than 100 different properties. This was one of the best I can recall. The setting was beautiful, the location very convenient to all parts of Aiken but secluded and quiet. The cottage was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The host made sure we had everything we needed and check-in/check-out were a breeze. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Would give it 6 stars if I could!

This is a GREAT spot for a family get together - we had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and a baby. Stepping across the street for play romps in the gorgeous Hopeland Gardens made a big get together with young ones so much easier, and it's just blocks away from historic downtown Aiken. The cottage is so much larger than it looks in the picture - tons of room and bedrooms super comfy. Exceeded expectations and what a fabulous price.

Property was exactly as advertised and in a great location. We had an event at Hopeland Gardens so it waa perfect. Terrific and very responsive hosts. Everything you need and nothing you dont.

The house was clean and well appointed. It was dated but in a charming way. The owner made things very easy regarding check in and check out. They even placed drinks and snacks in house for us!

What a great place to stay and enjoy Aiken. The home was very nice with a great set up and perfect location. Minutes from town but located on a very peaceful street for plenty of privacy. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. Likely we will be back again next year!!

We have actually stayed in this cottage multiple times because it is so wonderful! Clean. Convenient. Well stocked. Across the street from the beautiful Hopeland gardens. Lovely hosts who communicate directly. We plan to return in the fall for steeplechase.

This welcoming cottage is as wonderful as it looks in the photos, very clean and comfortable, and located in an ideal area, steps from the entrance to Hopeland Gardens. The host has paid thoughtful attention to every detail, from the ample kitchen utensils to the snacks and linens. Checking in and out, and communicating with the host, was easy and efficient. This was my family’s favorite Vrbo out of many over the years, not least because it has the most comfortable beds of any place we’ve encountered. I’ve never slept this well on a trip before. The peaceful porch overlooking a magnificent Camellia was an extra bonus. A truly exceptional visit, and we hope to stay here again on our next trip to Aiken. Thank you for making the trip so special for our family!

Loved the house and location. Our only issue (and not a terrible one) inside temperature. Back bedroom were warm and toasty, living area to kitchen was very cold.🤔 note sure why. 😉 Thanks, we did enjoy our time regardless 😁

This cottage meets the photos and descriptions—and goes beyond! Extra clean, well-appointed and cozy/comfortable. And the kitchen is well-equipped, plus has snacks and even some staples in the cabinets—a gesture rarely found in rentals. And the owner is very responsive and helpful. My family of four (two adult children) stayed in this cottage for five nights over Christmas while visiting family. Our family is spread out and we like to travel so we have stayed in plenty of VRBOs around the US. This is easily the most comfortable one we've ever stayed in! Plenty of room to unpack your suitcase, great beds and sofas and outdoor spaces to enjoy, too. The master bedroom mattress deserves extra praise - so comfortable! The location is perfect - quiet with easy access to downtown and steps away from Hopeland Gardens. The cottage was very clean and well equipped (snacks, coffee pods, water bottles, plenty of toilet paper and paper towels) and the hostess was super easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. We LOVED staying here and will book this cottage every time we come back to Aiken. Thank you, Cae!

Great location Very quaint

The cottage is warm and inviting. It is fully equipped and in a terrific location. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend the property to someone else. Communication with the owner was excellent. She is easy to work with and very accommodating. The master bedroom bed is more comfortable than mine at home and I slept soundly every night. I didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful property. Spotless and warm atmosphere. Comfortable beds and linens. Updated bathrooms and amenities. Well equipped kitchen and easy to entertain and cook. The best location for beautiful walks in the public gardens or to downtown for shopping.

The property was BETTER than described! It was perfectly appointed and comfortable for our group. The Property Manager was amazing! The quintessential Southern Hostess! We will be back!

We gathered here with friends and we each brought horses with us . The owner was fantastic to deal with helping us find a nearby stable (Whitney Barns group ) to accommodate the horses . We literally could have walked there . The cottage location could not have been more perfect and it was super comfortable . Welcome snacks and even chocolates on our pillows . We look forward to booking here again . No complaints !

This is a really cool, low-key property that is very comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful with Hopeland Gardens nearby. This historic house had everything we needed...nice bathrooms, large comfortable living area, comfortable beds...just nicely furnished in general. Very quiet as well. The host is absolutely great....good communication and quick responses when we had questions. Already looking to re-book this place in the future. Thanks!

Exactly as described and even more beautiful than the pictures!

We enjoyed our stay and it was very well stocked with what you needed. We enjoyed being right across from the Gardens and walked it twice each day with our dog. The town of Aiken was very cute and charming. Cottage is big inside, it looks smaller in photos. The only complaint I have is the furnace seamed like it needed filter changed and vents cleaned. It was cold and we had to use furnace. We both sneezed when it ran. Other than that, I would say it’s a perfect place to stay. Thanks for being a great host!

We were all so relaxed and in love with this mini pause from the grind. The host thinks of all of the details and even more. Check in was a breeze, even during a hurricane and the house and location are perfect 5+ host and stay.

We were there for rehearsal party and wedding. Cute cottage very convenient to venues and downtown. Our host/owner was extremely gracious. Had our granddaughters over and she took us down to feed the horses on property apples, which was a big hit fo 1 and 2 yr old.

When we walked in it felt like home, the host had been great about communicating with me, even offered to let us check in early if we wanted too. The Kitchen had everything you would need, the host had left us Water, Coffee, Soda, Poptarts, Granola bars and other items we may need. The house is old but so full of charm and has been maintained perfectly, the bathrooms have both been updated and are great, plenty of everything you would need. The owners live next door so if you needed anything they were right there, we did not but it was nice to know that they were right there. Location is very quiet but also close to downtown. This is the kind of house that you would like to stay forever!!! Would recommend this to anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy Aiken.

A wonderful time-capsule of elegance and beauty right in the heart of historic Aiken. A walk across the street takes you to Hopeland Gardens and you are close to everything without feeling close. Owners are great and very accommodating. The estate is immaculate and we felt right at home. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at red top cottage. The house was more spacious than it looks from the front. Very well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. Close to the Willcox, shopping and the horse show! Definitely will stay here again.

Our family of 5 found the cottage to be perfect in every way. We were in town for a wedding. The cottage is pet friendly, clean, comfortable, and has a great location. We loved it the minute we entered and the host is very kind and accommodating.

Wonderful, comfortable, quaint cottage in a great location right across the street from Hopeland Gardens. We enjoyed meandering through the gardens each morning with our coffee and pups. Definitely a great place to stay if you are in Aiken!
