The owner was great with communication and the property is in a quiet little neighborhood by the lake.

Great little find in a quiet neighborhood near the lake. Fun theme inside, clean, and all the basic kitchen and bath goodies to help make the weekend easy and relaxing. Such a different feel than our traditional hotel room when visiting. Will definitely look to see if available when we come back to visit. Great host communication!

Cozy cottage perfect for catching up with friends

My wife was blown away by the remodeled and decorated inside. Very nice for a home of this age. Nice little area right by the lake.

We had a great stay at the Pink Acorn. It was beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. Kelly left us some treats and was super helpful and easy to communicate with. We appreciated the book of recommended local dining and attractions she left. The house is in a quiet, lovely neighborhood and very close to 2 public beaches. We'd definitely come back again if in the area.

I can't say enough good things about the attention to detail of this rental and the ease of communication with the owner! If you want a peaceful neighborhood, good for walks to and around the lake, away from the chaos of the U of W, this is is the place. We didn't have the best reasons to be in town (a memorial) but from the outset, the owner was nothing but positive and the rental, with is retro decor, comfortable beds, and stocked games to play, was just what my family needed while in town. When were arrived, we were greeted with a note, some chocolate, and fizzy water. The place also has some coffee and tea for those that like to make their own. However, if you take a 12 min drive you should try Lakeside St. Coffee House for coffee, sweets, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches and a super cool vibe. The place also has all the kitchen supplies needed for cooking, but you can take a short walk to Monona Bait & Ice Cream (right by this little beach off the lake) and choose from sandwiches, hot dogs, ice cream and more (seasonal operations). Finally, if you like bars with a few TV's, good happy hour drink prices, and a bit of a local/dive bar feel (we do) try Chiefs Tavern about 5 min from the place. I would definitely rent this property again when in Madison and will recommend to others!

The Pink Acorn was a great place to stay for a weekend in Madison. Loved the decor and the home was spotless!

Stayed in this cute cottage for a family visit in Wisco. House was clean with many amenities which was terrific, less to pack. Kelly is a wonderful and accommodating host. We really appreciated her communication with us and the thoughtful goody bag. My husband raved about how great the house was and he’s tough to impress. The lake is just around the corner and plenty of stores/restaurants a short drive away. If you plan on coming to Madison, it’s a great place to stay and close to everything Madison has to offer. Thanks so much for a pleasant stay.
