The house is beautiful and cozy. The beds are heavenly and the backyard is perfect for evening meals, corn hole, and the magnolia tree is beautiful! Chip was easy to contact as well as his friendly wife. The location is perfect easy to walk to Main Street but far enough to be considered outskirts. Close to beaches, quiet, and within driving distance for a day trip to Williamsburg, Yorktown and other attractions. Recommend 10 out of 10!

Super cute and comfy home! Spacious rooms and kitchen, perfect for a large family. Great location to all shopping and restaurants. Nice amenities inside and out. I would recommend this property highly if you're traveling to this area or close by Williamsburg.

We came to the area for our granddaughter’s graduation and it was only minutes from the high school. It was in close proximity to quite a few good restaurants and downtown Mathews! The host was quick to reply to any questions or comments that we had. If the opportunity presented itself, we would definitely stay here again!

We had a nice, comfortable stay in Mathews. Our daughter graduated from USCG BM A School in Yorktown, about 35min from this property. She stayed one night with us, along with my husband, my father in law, two teens and two dogs. The house is very dog friendly with supplies and a big yard. Clean, comfortable place to hang out! Awesome communication with host! Great breakfast at Howard-Dooley Cafe just a few minutes away.

This stay was superb...so much so that we tried to extend. Unfortunately the days we wanted were already booked but the communication with the owners was nearly instantaneous and so appreciated. The home is comfy and exactly as represented in the pics. The yard is enormous which was appreciated by us and our pup. The walk to downtown Mathews was short and the town is sweet. If in the area in the future we will absolutely try to stay at this home again.

Great location near the Chesapeake Bay and small towns full of character. The house was nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the small touches, such as the tea on the cute little hot drink bar.

Very clean, comfortable, easy to find and in a great neighborhood. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely be staying here again. There was plenty of room for us all and the kids had a good time playing in the backyard. The beds were comfy as well!

we arrived after dark and there were lights on in the house. Felt so welcoming.
on Sunday we hosted a family Christmas with a buffet meal and gifts. I picked this home because of the kitchen and all the seating.
Also because I needed a back up plan in case my dog sitter plans fell through, which they did.
Thank you so much for allowing me to bring our dog last minute.
The back yard is huge. If it had not been raining Sunday there would have been some cornhole going on.

This place met our needs in every way. We were visiting family close by for Thanksgiving. Lovely accommodations for my husband and me, our two adult children and their significant others, with a bedroom to spare. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was easy to work in with everything we needed. The dining room was comfortable and pretty. Our hosts were friendly and responsive to all our questions. We would happily stay there again and highly recommend it.

Super clean. Great place to stay with a toddler and grandparents or other friends. Had everything you need for a stay with a young kid. Super convenient to food and beaches. Great yard. Perfect set up for a weekend getaway.

Our stay in Mathews was great! We came for a wedding so only stayed 1 night, but the house was clean and had everything we needed. We also were able to enjoy the fire pit. The hosts were great and very communicative.

This house has been beautifully renovated and well maintained. Clean and bright and very welcoming. Great location for everywhere we wanted to go. Prompt and helpful communication from owner and we appreciated being able to bring our dog. Would definitely stay again, and recommend highly!

Very much enjoyed house with all its renovations. All modern inside and well thought out. And in walking distance to town of Mathews. Perfect for enjoying Mathews Market Days annual festival. Never had to move car. Had some difficulty in first getting into house however, the owner quickly contacted me and fully explained. Wish there was more seating on little porch in back and yard needed some improvements. However, the house itself could not be more perfect! Super clean and new.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! Was perfect for 3 couples and a 2 year old. We enjoyed the fire pit almost every night, completed 3 puzzles, and enjoyed being walking distance to a great seafood restaurant and pizza place! House was also great for day trips!

Close to small town of Mathews Virginia and close to Gloucester for the event we were attending. Plenty of room for all of us to have space to relax.

Property was perfect for a place to stay for our family. We were attending a big family reunion near by. The kitchen was well stocked with pots pans utensils dishes etc. the coffee bar worked out well. Good appliances and big refrigerator. The table and dining area connecting to both the kitchen and living space was nice perfect for a meal or evening game. Very clean. Comfortable bedrooms. Air conditioning all around kept the house comfy on hot and humid days. Very close to town for a quick trip to the store. Definitely recommend. Chip was very responsive and easy to work with.

We were in town so my dad (79) could surprise his sister (80) with a visit after several years, and it was perfect! Great place to stay, convenient location, clean and homey. Accommodation directions were clear and easy process to check in and out! Would definitely stay there again!

Wanted to point out something. I stayed in upstairs bedroom on left. Inside the doorway there is a raised nail that I caught my foot on. Just needs to be pounded down so no injury happens. Very clean, very comfortable and homey. Did need tissues, however. Only negative is road noise. All in all, a wonderful time there. Thank you!

Our stay in Mathews was wonderful! This home is well-maintained and cozy, and the owners placed a lot of thought into the amenities – especially for dog owners!
The house has a lot of character. Natural light and light paint really compliment the wood paneling in the living room. The dining room space is great, and the kitchen has everything we needed. The bedrooms are very comfortable.
The house is very close (within walking distance on a good day) to some nice restaurants and downtown Mathews. It's just across the road from Salty Dog, which has excellent pizza.
We really appreciated the information binder that contained lots of info about the area.
And it's only a few miles from some lovely beaches.
Highly recommend!

This property met all of our expectations! It is a beautiful home with space for everyone to enjoy. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous. We are already talking about another trip soon!
