We had a great extended weekend staying at the Whitefish Bayfront property in April 2024. Easy access with a little drive to Whitefish point and Tahquamenon Falls. The house was beautiful and quite spacious. The fenced in yard was great for containing our dog and children. One downfall was that we had to use the heat while staying and the floor grates get extremely hot that could cause a burn. This made it a little challenging from keeping our 1 year old from wanting to walk across them. We also were hoping to catch seeing the northern lights (not knowing if the cloud coverage or kP index was going to be in our favor or not); however where the house is located, there is still quite a bit of light pollution but the few nights we had clear skies, there was still plenty of stars to gaze at. Spending time in the UP in April was fun, definitely still in the off season time period which meant fewer people and less open shops- so just prepare if planning to travel here at this time. We also planned ahead in bringing our carhartts too for the chilly nights!

Well maintained. The home heating was a little unusual. Took us a little while to get it figured out. We understood it was a retro-fit home and probably the best option for the property. Beyond the initial learning curve it was a great place. Beautiful views and a nice location. I would like to thank the owner for access to the attached garage. It was very helpful having access to it.

Location is fantastic, very clean and a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Quiet. Lovely family and friends place to stay. Great things to do in the area.

My family had a wonderful time!! The house was clean and spacious. We were right on the water. Would definitely recommend.

Not only was this cabin convenient and affordable for our family of 8, it was also lovely. We needed a simple landing spot to explore Whitefish Point and Tahquamenon State Park. This house offered plenty of room for our 6 kids to play inside and out in the evenings and waterfront access. Visiting in early fall meant we missed the worst of the summer insects but still caught enough warmth for the brave among us to swim in the lake. My kids especially enjoyed the Black Creek next door. A simple fire pit and backyard swing provided for some quiet evenings for my husband and I after the kids were asleep. We caught the moonrise over the lake

This property exceeded our expectations. It felt like we were at our home away from home.

We absolutely loved our visit here! The house is exactly as described in the listing and is very comfortable and spacious. Everything you need in a kitchen is there and much more! We loved having cocktails outside on the lakeside patio and waking up to beautiful sunrises. Our little doggies enjoyed wandering around the fenced-in yard so no leases needed there! This was our first visit back to the UP since moving out of state seven years ago. We're already planning our visit for next summer! Thank you, Heather, for helping make our time up north so memorable!

We felt very at home and looked forward to coming back after our various adventures exploring the nearby area. We hope to stay again soon!

My husband, adult daughter and I stayed here for a week and were very happy. Beds were very comfortable. Appliances were new! Plenty of towels. The house is well cared for and very clean. Lovely patio area. Fenced in yard was wonderful for our 2 smalls dogs. We hope to return again next year!

This house sits right on Lake Superior! We loved just being able to sit, watch and listen to the sounds and beauty of the Lake after sightseeing everyday. The house was very nice, great view from the upstairs!! Very glad the place had a generator, as a thunder storm went through approx. 8:30 pm and the power was off till sometime in the early morning! Really enjoyed our short stay!

We so enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you could need. The owners are very responsive and interested in making your stay a positive experience. The location is beautiful and peaceful, right on Whitefish Bay. We had a wonderful time here and can’t wait to come back!

We fully enjoyed the place,we love waking up to the sunrises every morning with each one different every day. The weather was amazing and we totality relaxed...we did manage to hit up a few golf courses,Wild Bluff and Newberry County Club,both excellent courses. I highly recommend the Tahquamenon Falls store and order the pizza,one of the best we have ever eaten! Our host was vwry kind and quickly answered any questions we had on any issues. This house is beautiful and has an amazing location on Lake Superior. The house was very clean and had so many supplies in the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen. We had more than we needed! The fenced in yard was perfect for our two dogs. Close to Tahquamenon Falls. We are already talking about returning for another stay!

We had a great time at this property! The house was fully stocked. The only glitch was trying to get in on the keypad, but Heather was super responsive and we got in shortly after. Loved the bonfire pit, the grill, and the awesome views on Lake Superior! We even saw some freighters go by. We will most certainly be back again to visit, excellent spot!!

This was a great family getaway for my birthday. The views were amazing; we even got to spy some northern lights there. The bedrooms and the whole house are very spacious, and there were 8 of us in total, and we never felt on top of each other. It really felt like a home away from home and I would happily stay there again. The heating system kept us cozy and warm and the sounds of Lake Superior lulled us to sleep each night. The only hiccup we had was the gas stations in Paradise were out of gas but we did find one on the way to Techqaminon Falls that had gas, so we weren't completely stranded (although if we were, it wouldn't have been a bad place to be stuck). This of course is no fault of the owners, just wanted other guests to know to maybe fill up prior to coming. The binder of options and places to go was equally helpful.

A beautiful, well appointed property located close to Whitefish Point. We thoroughly enjoyed the sun rises.

Whitefish Bayfront is a lovely location with beautiful views. This is a very nice well appointed cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, basic staples and spices. We had difficulty finding the cottage as there were no address signs. The listing for this cottage did not mention that there is a triple bunk bed, since we were a group of 60 & 70 year olds this resulted in difficulty In having enough bed space. Overall we had a wonderful time at the cottage and would consider a return stay.

My teenage daughter and I needed a get away. This place was so cozy and fit our needs perfectly.

The house was perfect for our group. We had plenty of room to spread out. Everything we could need was supplied. Heather was very responsive when we had questions. Close to the snow trail and town. The view of sunrise over the lake was beautiful too!

The house is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. The sunrise views of Lake Superior are breathtaking. The house is stocked with everything that we needed, immaculate, and spacious. We were able to link to snowmobile trails to Whitefish Point, Tahquamenon Falls, and Newberry right from the house. We can’t wait to visit in the summer!
