Had a lovely time at no.6 Colina Branca recently. The townhouse was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. The terraces had lovely views of the sea and the whole family enjoyed the good sized swimming pool which we often had all to ourselves. We enjoyed our short walk into Carvoeiro centre each night where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from but beware the 150 or so steps back up to the townhouse and from the pool. This wasn't a problem for us but may be for someone with mobility issues. The restaurants we enjoyed most were Pashmina (newly opened Indian restaurant with very tasty fresh curry dishes), La Galeria with excellent fresh swordfish and bream and Chef Antonio with great seafood cataplana (stew). The only issue we had with the townhouse was the wifi at the beginning of our stay. We had paid £30 for unlimited wifi (as advertised at the time of booking) but it only became clear once I had paid that I was paying for 35 hours of wifi during our 10 day stay. Once there the 35 hours wifi only allowed us 2 hours of internet. A further £20 was put on the card by Susie when we raised the issue and that lasted 1 hour! It was only when we were able to show a screenshot of the unlimited wifi advertised that we finally got unlimited wifi for the remaining 6 days of our stay. As anyone with three teenagers can imagine, the lack of wifi did not go down well. We also run a small business and chose the property for the unlimited wifi so that we could manage our business banking and accounts while away. If booking again I would get a guarantee that wifi is unlimited, although I see that is no longer advertised for the townhouse. Having said that the house itself is lovely and in a great area of Carvoeiro, so we would be keen to return as long as there were no wifi problems.

Clean and well equipped house with all you need for your holiday. Position was great, a short stroll into town, restaurants etc. and view of the sea from the terraces. Rosa was very helpful getting us a bbq and checking we had all we need. Carvoeiro was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much - thank you!

I'm just back from a 9 night stay in Susie's 2 bedroom townhouse in Colina Branca. It was impeccably clean and very comfortable, loads of hot water, towels, sun umbrellas etc for myself, husband, 2 kids and parents. The bedrooms were plenty big for sharing as we had our two children in with us on a pull out bed and cot. The pool area was also spotless and we enjoyed many an afternoon on the well-kept sun loungers. One consideration (not necessarily a negative) is the extremely steep hill from the town up to the townhouses - it is perfectly manageable for any active person but could be a problem if you had mobility issues. Having said that, the house was very close to the beach and main square so was worth it for me (and taxis are very affordable if you didn't have a car)! Would have absolutely no problems in recommending Susie's townhouse and would look forward to staying again in future.

Having stayed in Carvoeiro last year, we knew the area and found the property to be actually bigger than we expected. It was very well equipped inside and there were ample sun beds on the terraces/balconies. The terrace leading from the living area was of a good size, and had a fantastic view down to the beach and out to sea. The sun terrace on the roof was an excellent addition, which caught the sun all day and, as our property was on the top level, was not overlooked and very private. Being on the top level meant that there was either a steep hill or 150 steps to contend with from street level, but we were aware of that and you have to expect that in Carvoeiro. The range of restaurants in the village offers a great choice for eating out, and we had a great meal and friendly service everywhere we ate -only eating in the house twice, and going to Taste Restaurant twice, thoroughly enjoying it both times. The pool area for the properties was on the bottom level, again bigger than we expected, very well maintained, but surprisingly quiet on most days - probably due to the short distance from the beach - which was great. Had and great 10 days, we should have booked longer and will be back.

Colina Branca is a small development of townhouses, and a perfect choice for a family holiday. We stayted in a 2/3 bedroom townhouse which slept 5 people comfortably. The lounge/dining area was furnished very well in Portuguese style and the patio doors opened onto a very spacious sun terrace which included sun loungers and patio furniture. There was a further rooftop sun terrace which was also very spacious and perfect for fantastic views of Carvoeiro. The kitchen was very well equipped even ice packs in the freezer and cool bag to use. The bedrooms were very comfortable each with small private sun terraces. The communal pool area was superb with lots of sun loungers and sun umbrellas. The village/beach is no more than 10 minuets walk from the complex, and you are made very welcome by the locals in all the cafe bars/shops ans restaurants. We will certainly be returning to Colina Branca . Thank you

We have been holidaying in Carvoeiro for the past 12 years, off and on. We have stayed in Villa's as well as the Town Houses in Colina Branca. The Colina Branca houses are superb. The size of the house and the sun balcony is just perfect for our needs. It was clean and tidy and provided more than we expected. This year we had 3 generations in our party ranging from 17 to 71 and there was ample space for all including an en-suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms so my Mum had more privacy in the mornings and getting ready to go out at night. The pool is a really good size. Deep at one end and nice and shallow at the other so the pool would suit most people. We never had to get up in the morning to put towels out as there was always sun beds available regardless of the time we got to the pool and all 6 of us got a bed and a sun umbrella if needed. The whole of Carvoeiro is built on the hillside of what was probably a simple valley many centurys ago. There is no avoiding either steep hills or steps. Colina Branca is no different. You can walk up 'donkey hill' to get to the villas or go past the hill and take the stairs. 95 steps up to our villa! After coming off the beach and having lunch in Smilers it is only 40 steps from the raod to get to the pool which was a good place to stop. I do have to say that the steps did not affect our holiday one bit. Infact it made us all feel we deserved the ice cream after dinner because we had put in a bit of extra effort using the stairs. We have already booked for next year and just can't wait to get back to the place we feel is our second home.

The house at Colina Branca was absolutely delightful. It had the feel of a lighthouse with two spiral staircases and each room had its own balcony. The bedrooms were spacious and equipped with large wardrobes and cupboards. The top floor looked out onto a wonderful view of the sea over the domed roofs of the other houses. We particularly liked the pool and spent long hours there. It was private and surrounded by flowering plants. The pool was an adequate size to have a decent swim and was 3 metres deep at one end, being shallow at the other. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols were available. The house was only a short walk from the town which offered a good selection of restaurants and bars. There was a lively atmosphere with live music on several evenings and the beach was only five minutes away. The cleaner came halfway through the week to clean and change the linen - good service

This was our third visit to Carveiro and our second to Colina Branca. The house has everything you need to ensure a more than comfortable stay. Great sun terrace, cool fresh bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. My parents travelled with us this year and they loved both the house and the village. We used the market most days and on the days we chose to eat out there was so much to choose from. We also received great support and advice for things we wanted to do from Susie at Holiday Rentals. A great family holiday.....see you next year!

6 of us stayed in the Townhouse for a week in July (4 adults & 2 children). We've been to Colina Branca for the last 4 years, however this was the first time we've stayed in one of the townhouses. The house was spotless when we arrived with great modern facilities and an amazing view of the sea from the balcony over the rooftops of the town. The bedrooms and bathrooms were down a lovely spiral staircase which made the house feel quite traditional and moorish. Although there was a fully fitted kitchen we didn't make much use of it as there are so many restaurants in Carvoeiro!, however very good to have a washing machine and separate roof terrace for drying clothes. The balcony was well equipped with sun lounges, tables and chairs and was a complete sun trap. The male members of our party where very happy with Sky TV! The maid came during the week and cleaned the apartment & changed all the beds and towels which an unexpected but welcome surprise. The pool is great, there were always enough sun beds and there's always a friendly atmosphere - although it was a steep walk back up the steps to the townhouse! The location of Colina Branca is brilliant with a very short walk into the main town (about 5 mins). There is private parking with the townhouse which is fantastic as Carvoeiro is packed with cars during the day so parking is difficult. The whole of Carvoeiro is walkable and there are tons of places to eat & drink, the beach is fab and there are also lovely places that are easy to get to like Silves & Lagos. Overall I would highly recommend both Carvoeiro and No 6 Colina Branca!

We have recently returned from a fabulous holiday staying at colina branca townhouse, the townhouse was as described, if not bigger than we imagined it was going to be and had everything we required, though we would have loved air conditioning as it was very hot. Though the bedrooms are downstairs and it is slightly cooler there. It is situated close to shops, beach and restaurants, however it is on a very steep hill and therefore not for anyone with difficulty walking! The pool was never too busy, even in August and was nice and clean. If we return to Carvoeiro, which we hope to do, we would definitely return to colina branca.

We have stayed at Colina Branca for the last 12 years as a family so we know the area well. Last year stayed at this property which was well equiped and fully matched the description given.As always the maid service was excellent which ensured that the townhouse was clean and well maintained with no problems.Also able to use a good sized pool with loungers down a couple of flights of stairs which is great for families and while we were there was not crowded. On arrival you will find a book containing full details of the local area and activities available plus contact numbers for problems/ emergencies etc. The position of these properties means that it is easy to walk into town in approx 10/15mins. In town you will find a good selection of bars and restaurants (plus nightclub for teenagers )to suite all tastes plus a small beach but this can get busy in high season. Even though a car isn't essential we found that it was good to have one as there are some great beaches and places of interest within 30/60 minutes driving time. All in all a great place for a holiday and would without doubt recommend it.

We spend some hollidays in this property and find the location near the town and to a lot of places of interest excellent.

Colina Branca is a clean and tidy complex,ideal for all ages.The pool area could do with some Umbrellas.After visiting it for the last 16years we consider it as our 2nd home. Carvoeiro is centrally situated for all amenities.You are within easy access to Splash Parks,Zoo,Crazy Golf,and Sand Carvings.The only down side to Carvoeiro is that it is very hilly.
