It was close to the beach and the kitchen was very big and had everything you need.

We arrived at 3pm and there was nobody at the reception, only a folded piece of paper with our name and the key cards in them. Which isn't too bad but felt a little impersonal. The whole hostel seems to be a little out of shape and the rooms smell very old, including the bedding. The sheets smelled like they were washed and then left in a cupboard for a couple of months. They also seem very old (like they are from the 90s). The beds themselves were quiet old as well. There was also a blood stain on the floor 😐 (room 218). Luckily we are traveling as a couple but I wouldn't feel very safe here alone as a girl.

Location and friendliness of staff. Refreshing for a YHA style hostel to be open to meet new people.

The location was great and I had a room just for myself which was good.

When I arrived to the hostel, I found a sign on the door saying that the hostel was closed to general public as the rooms were reserved to seasonal workers. Nobody told me about that in advance, so as a female backpacker, I was the only one among many men workers which did not really feel comfortable. The kitchen was disgusting and the bathroom in my room was that dirty that I needed to clean the toilet by myself. There was also nobody at the reception which made it impossible for me to get some explanation, refund or anything.

Absolutely NOTHING

Arrived and there was no one at reception to check me in. Called the number and no answer. Finally replied by text telling me they don't do check ins on a Saturday, yet there was no mention of this when booking. Was then told that someone would drive to check me in in 20 minutes but that they would need to squeeze me into a room as they had a lot of seasonal workers. Honestly, I just felt like a hassle to them, and was referred to as 'mate'. Awful experience. I asked for a refund which I never received.

Comfortable bunk bed, had the room to myself, and the lockers were easily accessible and spacious.

Self check in, no staff on site that I could see (wasn't too much of an issue for me but others may not like it)

Had a dorm to myself
