Nothing. This was the worst night I have ever had in a hotel in my life.

When I arrived, there was loud club music playing in reception and I struggled to hear the receptionist. The receptionist insisted on photographing my ID on a personal phone to email to the company as his photocopier was broken- this is a GDPR breach. When I went to the room, other rooms I passes had the smell of cigarets and dope coming from them- and the corridors were extremely scruffy. There was a party going on a few doors away from my room- I could head balloons being filled with gas, and people snorting. Calls. Music. I asked to be moved to another floor. at 4:30 AM the people in the room next to mine returned- they were obviously part of the party. They played loud music and talked loudly till gone 6:30AM- and people kept coming and going down the corridor. The room itself was awful. Grubby. Warn. The bed was horrific- something like a deflated bouncy castle. There was black mould in the bathroom and no shower gel- which you should be able to expect when you paid £135 for the night. I was in Newport to run a marathon I had been training for for Months- and had to run it after a night of no sleep in a terrible bed in a place where I was genuinely scared. I even contemplated getting an uber home- but I didn't feel safe to go through the corridors.
