Prachtig hotel, alles ademt luxe en comfort uit. De bedden slapen heerlijk. De badkamer is tot in de puntjes perfect uitgevoerd. Lekkere mini bad producten. In de nacht gaan met sensoren nachtlampjes in de vloer branden zodat je veilig door de kamer kunt lopen. Prachtige wellness. Gratis parkeren. Ben al in veel vier sterren hotels verbleven, maar dit is tot nu toe met afstand de mooiste.

Het zwembad was net een tikje te koud om comfortabel te zijn. De verlichting in de toilet was te donker, waardoor je niet goed kon zien of het schoon was.

We stayed a night at Hotel van der Valk - Best and it was one of our worst hotel experiences in netherlands ! We had a long night and arrived late at around 11 PM. I was very tired and the room they gave me was in an unacceptable state ( directly after a guest), with dirty towels thrown in the tub and blood stains on the sheets. It was disgusting . The receptionist was quick to change my room but it appears ( the second room) to have been not-quite-finished by housekeeping, with hair found in the sheets. Upon checking out, I brought up my concerns with the receptionist. She apologized for my experience and said she was aware of the issues. However, when I brought up the state of the other room, I could tell that she was more concerned with the other guests who were checking in and didn't want them to hear our conversation, even though she initiated the conversation about my stay. I found this to be off-putting and unprofessional. I mentioned that my second room bed was obviously slept on , I showed her photos of my friends room and my room and she said ooh I get what you mean its not slept on but yeah Its not well organized yet! So not finished by house keeping and saying it as a legit excuse . I’ve stayed in a couple of van der valk chain hotel. Never experienced something like this. On the other hand My friend went to his room and it was very clean and well organized yet no water bottle or slippers can be found in the room . Overall it was a very uncomfortable stay for both of us. Its a shame since the hotel design and rooms are very nice. I hope the hotel can improve their attention to detail in their cleaning processes and train their staff to handle guest concerns in a more attentive and professional manner

The breakfast selection was a bit disappointing as there, for example, was no fish, limited hot foods. The hotel is located far from the lively parts of the city.
