House was great with beautiful view of the Calcasieu Lake and perfect for viewing sunsets. Located 2 minutes from the Launch and had nice parking space.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Took my family 7 of us all pretty much adults had a great time some fished some went to casinos we all had a great time. Would book again

House and all facilities on the grounds are beautiful, comfortable and extremely relaxing. It’s a great place to stay if you want to fish, hunt or just relax with friends and/or family. The grounds are clean and spacious. I highly recommend booking this property. The host communicates well with guests to make sure they stay is the best possible. Looking forward to staying again.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the spot! The house is so cozy and comfortable, it’s the perfect house for a lake getaway. We came here to fish and just disconnect from home. Everything you can think of is here. The fishing pier is awesome and even has a covered section if it’s raining. Beds are comfy. I slept like a baby. We didn’t bring our kids on this trip, but the upstairs bedroom is perfect for the kiddos with a tv and games. The outdoor patio is awesome with an expansive view of the lake. It’s so relaxing just sitting on the patio overlooking the lake and watching the pelicans. The sunsets are spectacular. Love that we’re still close to town if we want to eat out or shop, and the local Dollar General is close by for basic necessities. T-Boys Grill is a must for classic Cajun and southern comfort food!

The downstairs does not have curtains throughout. We felt uncomfortable and asked to cancel our stay after the first 2 hours we were there. There cancelation policy does not allow for this. IF there were curtains, we would not have wanted to cancel so the policy is not visitor friendly. The lake view was VERY nice and we suffered through our 4 night stay. All women were traveling and our safety is of upmost importance. Hard to relax at night under these conditions.

I have been working alot lately so this was a perfect getaway.. I had family , and friends staying with me. We had plenty of room. Everything you see in the pictures you will see in this place. Older place with alot history and beautiful views of sunset.. We will be back. Thanks for awesome stay..

We wanted to stay close to lake Charles because we delivered a chicken coop to the area. We love to go fishing so we found your beautiful camp and was very excited about renting it. It is a beautiful camp and will be coming back again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the spotted tail, good location, evening sea breeze while watching the sunset was spectacular, we enjoyed sailing, fishing and the authentic cajun restaurants

This property was a perfect destination for my friend and I to take a break from the stress of life. The house was so charmingly decorated and looked exactly like the pictures online. Sitting under the covered porch in the back was so quiet and peaceful as we enjoyed the awesome view of the lake. The owners were wonderful to work with as well. We will definitely keep this property on our favorites list and hope to go back sometime.

Great location ! Very informative host with a very cool house as close as you can get to the water. Boat ramp is 300 yards away. Great place to get away. Theres a hammock overlooking Big Lake with your name on it! Highly recommend staying here !

We had a great time! The unit is very nice, clean and spacious. The fishing was great! Great family time!

We brought our son to celebrate his graduation. As per usual for us the trip had some hiccups. But staying here made the trip relaxing. The beds are super comfortable. The host was very responsive to all questions throughout the entire process and stay. Everyone was able to spread out and do what they wanted. Some were fishing, some watching tv, and some playing cards. They even had bath toys for my toddler and a PS3! We left our weekend trip with a couple hard head catfish, about 2 dozen large crabs, and (after a trip to rutherford beach) 3 gaffe top catfish, 3 large black drum, and about 2 dozen snails. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay.
