Modern mountain lodge with every amenity you could want. Plenty of parking, outdoor games and room for the kids to run. Super location, quiet street, backing up to the river and just 3 blocks away from the local grocery store, brewery and ice cream shop. We will be back!!

My husband and I had been so looking forward to our stay at Black Bear - Little River Cabin...Townsend has always been a favorite spot for us and we have had many visits but Never like our stay at Black Bear. This cabin was built with Finess, Passion and it is exquisite through and through. You can tell every inch of this home was thought out and special in one way or another. Its fully furnished with handmade bedroom furniture and many unique pieces. The beds are extremely comfortable for a great night sleep. From the moment you walk in there is a warmth of peace and happiness, with all the comforts of home. If it's cold, you can enjoy the fireplace and the cozy living room or enjoy the outdoor firepit. The house is stocked with fun games for the whole family to play and gaming for the young. The mountains and views are amazing, the neighborhood and town people are friendly and inviting. You can take a walk, a bike ride or enjoy a car ride through the Cades Cove Scenic Loop/National Park...This cabin in built on the river where the water is so calm and inviting. Sitting out on the upper deck back patios is one of the most peaceful enjoyable moments of our trip watching the sun go down and that natural beauty. We so look forward to coming back to Black Bear during the summer months when the river will be full of people fishing, tubing and enjoying the peaceful side of the Smokies. I highly recommend if you want to go home with No Regrets, and a smile on your face from an amazing get away, that you invest your time and stay at the Black Bear. We’ve been visiting Townsend for many years and have never been more impressed with a home away from home as we have here. The location is prime. Walking distance to stores and steps to the infamous winding river in the heart of the Smokey Mountains . Traveling with family is a breeze when you have a fully stocked kitchen complete with all necessities whether bringing home takeout or cooking an entire family meal. We were here during the Christmas season and enjoyed the decorated Christmas tree the beautiful lights and garland around the railing. It checked all the boxes especially three coziness of a traditional mountain cabin experience. The beds are sooo cozy, as were the upscale linens. The boys loved their rooms upstairs complete with tv, arcade games and fun sleeping arrangements. Outside under the covered patio is an amazing hot tub with hammocks and corn hole, sidewalk chalk, you name it…there was always something to do, when doing nothing at all! The best part was that we were able to still enjoy the outdoors even in the rain. The spacious lower deck is just an addition to the usable space inside which made this large size cabin almost double in size. Families are more than accounted for here! What an exclusive opportunity it was for us to stay here and anyone looking for the perfect balance of rustic modern, cabin on the river and luxury retreat you have to stop scrolling and book now!!!

The house was beautiful and the mountains are always amazing!

House and location are 5 star. We enjoyed just being in the house hanging out together. Then we enjoyed short walks to restaurants, grocery store, ice cream, and the playground! Our grandchildren call it the great “mountain house!” The fire pit was a hit too, and the s’mores. We look forward to staying here again!

Simply put the Best short term rental experience we’ve ever had. Literally River Front Luxury at its finest. Our family didn’t want to go home. It was stunning, it was bright and comfortable. From the massive Hot Tub overlooking the river to the Aspen-wood furniture in the bedrooms to the 65” & 70” ultra modern flat screen TV’s everything was First Class. The custom made pool table turns into a ping pong table. The kitchen is out of a magazine on World Class kitchens. The bathrooms were breathtaking. The floor to ceiling glass and multiple sliding glass doors brought the nature indoors every day. The wood work was everywhere, the Nature rails were mind blowing beautiful. The swings, the hammock, the outdoor furnishings it was all like a dream come true. I have not made s’mores with our grandkids in years. Did we talk about the location yet? Walking distance to grocery, pizza, to a craft brew house, even to the Townsend visitors center all a short fun walk. Super easy to park multiple cars and so close to the GSMP hiking and biking. We will come back again and again, highly recommend. Hoping we can get back in as this cabin will stay booked that’s for sure. “Enjoyed It”
