The property had a driveway and was located close to the university which was my main reason for booking.
The beds were comfortable.
The house was extremely cold when we arrived, imagine mid December and the entire house hasn’t been heated for days. I couldn’t figure out how to switch the hearing on, so I messaged and the host did come very quickly and left his number for any other issues. But the heating downstairs did not work. As soon as we noticed the downstairs heater wasn’t on but the other heaters were, I messaged and called to inform them but he claimed he was an hour away so would get back late (approx. 11pm) so we just stayed with no heating downstairs. We couldn’t eat dinner due to the cold and had to wrap up in bed immediately. Despite the heating being on throughout the night the house was still freezing the next morning.
No bedside lighting in the single bed room.
Only one room had a mirror.
The bathroom was downstairs just off the kitchen, the shower looked dirty and the water was extremely hot.
The upstairs en-suite W/C was absolutely tiny, with no way to close the door if you’re in there.
Overall, it was embarrassing to have been the one to book the property and hear the complaints. My mum who has just recently finished chemotherapy had to sleep with her north face coat on! This was my first time booking a non-hotel property and I think this experience was a sign that I need to stick with hotels.

The washing machine did not work and had stagnant water in it
Sauce pans were dirty
Shower was not clean
Window sills had not been cleaned for sometime (dirt and dead flies on them)

It was a convenient location for the function we attended
Owners stuff around the property, bin half full of rubbish in kitchen, bedding not clean, arm chair on parking area, extremely small “en-suite “.

Pretty much everything. Arrived in a ghetto and there was an arm chair on the driveway. We had to ring up to get the code for the key box, and it was still a struggle to open it. We walked in to the property and there was a pair of man's flip flops in the lounge and washing draped all over the furniture, wet. A cupboard handle was hanging off in the kitchen and the dishwasher was full of dirty stuff and the door was hanging off. The lounge table was so unstable it was a major safety risk. There were 2 tvs in the lounge, neither of them worked. Upstairs, the single beds had no sheets on them and the master bed pillows had no pillowcases. There was not a single mirror to be seen, except for a tiny one in the en-suite that was as useful as a chocolate teapot. Talking of tiny ensuite, it was basically a cupboard with a toilet and sink in it.
There was a distinct smell throughout the property, that they obviously attempted to cover up by using overpowering air fresheners.
We decided it was probably better not to actually stay, so we drove home straight after the family wedding we attended!
I do not recommend. It is up for sale, and even if I was a potential buyer I would run away!

Location very convenient for our requirements.
Still a 'work in progress'. No Mirror. No handrail on steep staircase. No chairs for table. No working television. No wifi. No cross-over to pavement so access to parking means bumping up a kerb (access blocked by neighbour's car anyway). Leaking shower (frame below door hinges). No bedside lamps. No tea towels. Keysafe over drain, dropped keys only recovered due to debris, needs cover. Not deep cleaned after renovation work. Stained bed linen. Offered for rent before truly ready. Noted that property is for sale, is this a serious rental proposition?
