The most amazing place to stay in Alleppey! An oasis with a beautiful garden and a peaceful place outside. Wonderful and helpful staff that supports excellent service. Good point for exploring Alleppey and it's treasures.

We loved our stay at Bella Homestay. I travelled with two friends and we each had our own very well appointed ensuite room. We could - and did - also use the shared balcony, which was lovely for sitting outside in the evenings. There a nice touches like the bookcase from which you can borrow books, and there's also a good outdoor area outside. The homestay had organised our transport to and from Alleppey, and our driver (Vahid) was excellent - also showing us interesting sights. Sunita also organised our day trip on a Shikara (boat) - also excellent. The homestay is well located. It was hot and though we walked into town one of the days, a tuk-tuk was cheap for our return journey. Breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. Straight away we all decided we'd definitely go back!

The water in the showers could have been hotter - but this was a minor thing and seems to be very common in Kerala.

Niet veel te doen in centrum en helaas had onze kamer een airco zonder afstandbediening, was meegenomen door gast, maar ook zonder de mogelijkheid om de richting van de wind re bepalen. Daardoor hele nacht koude wind op het lichaam, af en toe ac weer uit, wakker door warmte en ac weer aan. Een kamer beneden naast receptie was aangeboden, maar we hadden Juist om kamer boven gevraagd bij het boeken. Nacht eerder vertrokken omdat er weinig (voor) toeristen te vinden was. Er zou een nieuwe ac komen werd verteld.

Très bon séjour. Maison dans un havre de paix repeinte récemment , tres bien entretenue. Chambre agréable et propre. Nous avons passé 4 nuits et ne regrettons pas notre choix. Vimal et son frère Biju sont adorables et font leur maximum pour rendre de multiples services. Bon petits déjeuners ! Merci pour ces bons moments

A really beautiful little homestay. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. Bathroom was squeaky clean. Staff were incredibly genuine and hospitable, and made a wonderful breakfast. The location is perfect for checking out the backwaters. Closest restaurants are about a 15 minute walk away.

It’s so lovely here. The owners are so friendly and help you sort everything from houseboats to taxis to laundry. They make a lovely breakfast too. Highly recommend it!

Vinmal made the stay an absolute pleasure. He couldn't do enough for us and really helped us out. Couldn't recommend more and absolutely made because of the great staff.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Large room, no issues with the hot water, quiet in the evenings. Very large breakfasts with continental, Kerala or both style breakfasts if you want it. There is a common balcony overlooking a garden which we used each morning looking for the local birds. Restaurants aren't what we'd consider walking distance, but tuk-tuks are close and cheap. Their recommendations for restaurants were good and safe for the ones we tried. The Shikaras and houseboats are literally around the corner, but we recommend talking to the managers about booking those as they will steer you right. We tried both ways and got far better results from their recommendation.

Beds were a little hard, but that might just be us. Other than that we had no complaints and would stay again.

I loved everything about the property. The room was spacious. Everything was really clean. It felt like a home from home. I felt really looked after. The lady who was looking after the property for the owner was so lovely and sweet, and she made sure I had everything I needed to make sure my stay was a very comfortable one.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

De homestay ligt net buiten het centrum. Heeft een mooie tuin waar je kan zitten. Goede schone kamer. Prettig personeel spreekt goed Engels en zeer behulpzaam.

In de nacht blaffende honden maar dat is in heel india .

No hot water. Breakfast was served cold. We organised a 2 day boat trip through this property. Whilst the staff on the boat and the food were excellent, the boat was dirty, uncomfortable and in need of a major refurbishment.

Incredible homestay, such a nice welcome sitting on the terrace with tea and fruit brought to us. It's got a secluded jungle oasis feel but it's in the centre of Alleppey! Really clean and beautifully decorated rooms.

The only bad thing was that we only stayed for one night.

Where do I even begin? Arrived late and got given a room that looked absolutely nothing like the one on Booking (see pics - the nice one is of what is advertised and the rest of what we were given). When we mentioned this to the owner, Biju, he said we could either leave (“as some people are never happy”) or stay in that room for the night and get given a free upgrade to a deluxe room for our second night. As it was late and we were tired, we decided to opt for the second option. One night after all, wasn’t a big deal and he had made a nice gesture… The following morning when we woke up, however, we were told by Biju’s wife - who was a very nice lady - that we had actually been misinformed and there were no deluxe rooms available. When we kindly said that this was unacceptable, She apologized and told us that it had been a tough day and they had accidentally overbooked their second property and she was very stressed and had made a mistake. She instead, offered to give us a discount or even the first night for free and move us to another standard room, which was basically the one that had actually been advertised. She told us to leave our packed bags there and they would move them to the new room when it had been cleaned. The lady was sweet and clearly under stress so we accepted her offer and went off for the day. When we got back at 9 pm we found our bags in the common area and the owner, Biju, was there. He approached us and stood up and in a somewhat showy way, and announced loudly that we had disrespected his wife that morning (absolutely no idea where that came from??) and that he wouldn’t accept this behavior and that he would “PUNCH and KILL anyone who disrespects her”, before doing a fist gesture and stabbing movement towards his throat. He wouldn’t let me even try to question what he was saying, before telling us that he had given away our room as he wasn’t happy with our behavior (??

Friendly owner and staff who helped with everything we needed! Comfortable place to stay and hang out, close to food!

Très jolie guest house pas très loin du centre (à pied). La chambre était agréable à part les fenêtres qui sont recouvertes d'une sorte de voile occultant qui fait qu'on ne voit pas l'extérieur de la fenêtre. Le responsable est absolument très gentil et serviable.

Pas d'accès à internet ni d'eau chaude (on peut se doucher à l'eau froide mais on a réservé avec de l'eau chaude).

The place has a welcoming feel with a wonderful host and service staff (Vimal and Sunita are a great example of 'service with a smile). They served us a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful porch setting with a tropical garden oasis feel.

A few minor amenities like a cupboard in the room and hooks in the washroom would add to the comfort.

静かな環境にあるとても清潔で快適な宿で、オーナーさんもとても感じが良く親切でした。リクエスト通り美味しいケララスタイルの朝食を提供してくれました。たくさんの装飾品で飾られた写真を見て宿泊したいと思い予約しましたが、実際は写真と違ったので残念がっていると（改装中とのことでした）、最初に用意してくれていた部屋よりいい部屋を快く使わせてくれました。

ホットシャワーが出なかったので寒かったです。

En av oss syntes madrassen var for hard, litt nedligget. Kunne hatt et lite kjøleskap på rommet, eller tilgjengelig.

We loved this cosy homestay in Alappuzha, a little tucked away from the centre, set among palms and greenery. Biju, the host and his brother, were so welcoming and helpful, he organised a very pleasant backwater tour and his trusted tuc tuc drivers are such sweet reliable men. Breakfast was great, served with choice of continental or local food. We also stayed at their Bella Home Beach Villa at Marari Beach and we were also happy with the room and service there!

Beautiful house with green patio creates a calm and fresh atmosphere. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hosts are very kind and helpful. Also they make the best lime juice!

We were made so very welcome by Vimal. He took great care of us and recommended and set up a wonderful canoe cruise around the backwaters. The house is homely and clean. Breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, surrounded by beautiful trees, watching and listening to the birds. We saw the mongoose both mornings we were there, walking passed the gate. The room photo was the one we liked. We stayed in another as this was occupied when we arrived.

The homestay is perfectly located and very quiet, surrounded by trees. I felt like being at my own house, everything is comfy, welcoming and easy going. As a single woman traveler, I felt completely safe. The hosts give lots of care and serve you a delicious breakfast. Tea or coffee is available throughout the day. I slept like a baby. They also give you advise on local sightseeing. Planning to return!

Location of the house, but the owner was so aggressive and dishonest that it was just a horrible experience.

This place is TOTALLY UNSAFE!!! I’ve asked for early check-in and they took me to another hotel 30 mins far away. When it was time to check-in, they told me that I had to stay there because MY ROOM was occupied (?). No choice. The day after I finally did the check-in and the room was WAY DIFFERENT AND SMALLER than the pictures. I complained about it and he aggressively and violently told me to leave and left me alone in the street.
