The house was absolutely perfect for our weekend away. The location was a short 15 min walk to the beach with incredible views from every front window. Lynn is an absolute doll to work with, grateful for our time in this home.

Stayed here for Fathers day weekend, 2024. Wonderful location, gorgeous views, quiet setting. Loved our stay here, and would definitely come back. Easy walk to Cardiff Village or Encinitas, you wont regret choosing this spot!

This property was fantastic! Perfect for my family and our dog Rosco. We all slept amazing and one day didn’t even leave the property - just opened the front door and enjoyed the gorgeous ocean air. The property managers are incredibly responsive and accommodating. We were visiting for a soccer camp for my son. If he goes back next year there is no question that we will stay here again if it is available!

Our group had the best time staying here for my sister’s wedding. Awesome view, location, parking, cleanliness, communication! 10/10 recommend!

My daughters and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Cardiff Beach Cottage! The house was immaculate, and the kitchen was completely outfitted for all our cooking - nearly all new appliances and cookware. Amazing as it seems - the great pictures on the listing really don't do the view justice. You gotta stay here to believe it. Morning coffee and evening drinks were the perfect start and end to our days. The grill was clean and ready to go for surf and turf dinners. The local area had fun bars and night life, and the beach was a 10 minute walk away. The owners were excellent communicators and were always ready to assist. We looked at a dozen different places to stay up and down the coast - we could not have picked a better vacation casa - do not pass on this place if available!

The property was cute with a great location and amazing view! Beds were comfortable and nice to have 2 bathrooms.

My husband took our 2 teen daughters to Lynn’s place this past week for 4 nights. It was spectacular! The views are incredible, and the sunsets were unbelievable. We sat several nights on the deck and just watched all the people walking and enjoying the coastline with their adorable dogs! The cottage is fully stocked and adorably decorated. The beds are SO comfortable! We will definitely be back, Encinitas is the coolest spot and a great place to see and visit the San Diego area! Thank you Lynn!

This is a charming little cottage, with beautiful views! It is on a busy road, but the view makes up for it. It was nice that we weren't far from coffee shops, shopping or restuarants!! We enjoyed our stay!!

We had a very nice time at Lynn's home. The cottage is in the perfect location, equi-distant from dowtown Encinitas and Seaside Market in Cardiff. The paved trail is just out front of the house and allows easy walking, biking, running and peope watching. We enjoyed the beautiful ocean view, big deck, comfy beds and well appointed kitchen. Kit and Tyler live onsite in a home on the hill behind the cottage. They were super nice, helpful and inobtrusive hosts. We were traveling with two teens and two adults and the space was perfect. We hope to return soon!

The house had one of the most amazing views I have ever seen and we absolutely loved getting to eat overlooking the ocean and watching the sun set into the sea. The house was extremely clean and well-maintained, Kit, Lynn and Tyler were extremely kind and welcoming, and it was convenient for restaurants, attractions and the beach. We loved our stay and would definitely come back in the future!!

We really enjoyed staying at this beach cottage! It had everything we needed, and we couldn't stop taking in the sweeping, picturesque views! The host was very responsive and provided several recommendations for restaurants and outings. Our son turned 17 on Easter this year, so we wanted something special for this rare occasion and for some family bonding time, and we certainly got it! Thank you to the hosts!

This house could not be in a better location. I live just down the street and I had friends visiting from out of town. They were able to fit in so many local activities that I wanted to share because the location is walking distance to everything I love. I read their suggestions on what to do around the area and even that was spot on (you never know with these things). You can tell they are true locals and know how to show their guests a good time. They are also great with communication and get back to you right away if you need anything. I will be keeping this house in mind for any future guests or even a staycation with the family!

I have brothers that live in Cardiff and was looking for a place to stay for a trip with my cousins that would be close to my family and a fun location. This cottage could not have been more perfect. The house was even nicer than we imagined, with artwork and tiles by the owner, as well as the most comfortable beds ever. We didn’t do much cooking but the kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed and more. The outdoor deck spaces were superb. Sunsets were incredible. We walked the rail trail down to Seaside Market and up to Encinitas daily. Everything was easy start to finish with great communication with the owners, easy check in/check out. Perfectly clean. We really could not have imagined anything better and hope to return again!

I live locally and was looking for a place for my out of town family to stay close to me. This darling beach cottage was perfect. It was clean, had multiple decks where you can enjoy the ocean view and was walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cardiff Beach Cottage. It is a great location, directly facing the ocean, and it was lovely watching the waves. The cottage is charming. It is an older property, so the bathrooms/kitchen are not updated, but that gives it a quaint vibe and everything is spotlessly clean. It is located on a busy street, which can be a little challenging as parking is across the street. It could also be quite loud with the cars and the trains. As we stayed in winter, that was not an issue as the windows were closed, but in the summer with the windows open you might want to employ ear plugs. The location is perfect for surfing and walking. There is a trail in front of the house and you can do a loop along the cliffs. To surf, you will need to get in the car and drive 5 minutes either direction, as there is not beach access directly from the house. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the teenager with us just loved the loft bed and called it his eyrie ;)

We had the best time while staying here! The house is beautiful and the outdoor space was amazing with gorgeous views. Lynn was very helpful and easy to communicate with! Could not recommend staying here enough!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cardiff Beach Cottage! The location is great not only for watching the sunset over the water but also for walking to the beach, shops and restaurants. The cottage is wonderfully maintained and has a nice comfortable layout for spending time with family both outside and inside. Most importantly the hosts are very accommodating, friendly, helpful. Nice property with excellent location and extraordinary view to the Pacific Ocean

The charming 2 bedroom cottage was exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Parking for 2 car was right in front and parking across the street was always easy. Plenty of good restaurants were a short drive or walk away. The outdoor space looking west was great for sunsets and people watching. Family owners on site were very engaging. Highly recommend this charmer and Cardiff as a destination.

This was a great place to stay with kids. We were central to a lot of fun, adventurous spots, and there is great food in the area.

cottage is in a great location and the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. no A/C but it wasn't really needed. fans were supplied so they helped keep air circulating. we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.

Loved our stay at this house. Wish it was longer. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the location. We appreciate the amount of beds there are for a smaller home. The view is beautiful and it’s right off of a great walking path. We enjoyed walking our dog to go grab coffee and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative is there was no bathroom door in the master bedroom. But it isn’t a dealbreaker.

This quaint Surf Cottage was all that we hoped it to be. Yes it did not have A/C BUT the breeze was great and kept things very comfortable. The decks and views from the living room were outstanding. Noise was very minimal and did not bother anyone. The ability to walk to the beach, stores or just exercise was very welcomed. We will be returning one day. Highly recommend Cottage

Great property and perfect location! We were able to bring our dog and the house is directly across from a walking path! Lovely neighbors and both Cardiff and Encinitas are walking distance or a short drive. Only 5 min drive to the beach!! The deck is also perfect for family dinners which we did every night, and great views!!! Would definitely stay here again!

This little beach cottage was absolutely perfect for our family with 2 young girls. Conveniently located to the beach, trails, shops & restaurants and you can’t beat the view! We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay in Cardiff-by-the-Sea! The house was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The view of the Pacific Ocean could not have been any better. Watching the sunset each night from one of the decks, the living room couch, or the kitchen table was AMAZING! Walking in either direction next to the water was pretty great too! Owners were very sweet and helpful! Recommend highly.

So many great things to rave about from our stay at this adorable beach cottage!!! Lynn has created a beautiful retro cottage - amazing art (that she herself did!) throughout the place and cute decorations! There has been such attention to every detail! The top two aspects are the unbeatable location and views and light within the cottage itself & multiple porches/outdoor sitting areas! We could just step outside and take a walk along the ocean, or walk to Swamis and watch the surfers, or get down onto beach itself and enjoy the water. Lots of little shops and restaurants around! But even inside or on the porch you are able to enjoy the ocean, sunshine and the relaxation of southern Cali! Just sit on the sofa and you have an incredible view! Lynn has thought of everything in the cottage - well-equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms, the living room with a very nice sofa and extra chairs and large screen, etc. The main porch has a large round table w umbrella where we could have meals and enjoy the sunset as well as sitting areas. We were so inspired by the beautiful oil paintings and art on the ceramics throughout the cottage - so unique! And it is a quiet location so we could enjoy family time and the amazing location! And the cottage and porch and area is very dog friendly, which was very important to us! Lynn and company were incredible hosts and made everything so easy! It really was a perfect get away and we have already booked our next trip there!
