We throughly enjoyed our stay at The Sunrise Cottage. Beautiful views of the lake! The house was so clean and we appreciated that very much. Knowing that we were celebrating a Birthday, there were happy birthday balloons and candles. Good thing since I forgot 😳. So thoughtful! The homemade Quiche was outstanding as well as the Coffee Bar! We enjoyed our time at this property. It was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Big thanks for the Nespresso and variety of pods that made me feel at home! Also, thanks for allowing our sweet dog who enjoyed his stay as well!

We loved our time at the Sunrise Cottage and hope to repeat it again with warmer weather - it was a little cold the first weekend of Feb to enjoy the screened in porch for morning sunrise coffee but easy to see how wonderful a spot that would be for it. We did get to have a fire by the waterside one evening and were cozy inside with everything we needed and the space is super clean and true to pics with every detail provided. The most well-appointed rental I’ve ever stayed at! And the host-provided quiche was an amazing bonus — fed the three of us for both mornings of the weekend we were there and it was hearty and delicious! Lastly, the hosts went above and beyond to return some binoculars we left behind and I’m really grateful for their kind effort with that. Hope we can come back and canoe in warmer weather next time but for a winter visit it was just lovely! Thank you!

There is everything you may need in the house. The house is decorated with great attention to details and good taste. It was super clean. The view from the living room and the screened porch is beautiful. There are entertaining toys for all ages. Our toddler played with some, while adults liked 3-D puzzles. We would definitely love to come back. The communication with the owners was excellent. They are very friendly and considerate.

A Girls Get-away for the long weekend. The cottage was spacious, especially with the two indoor living areas. It is very clean with a well-stocked kitchen, blankets and towels everywhere, and wood for the firepit. Although cold outside, we grabbed blankets and coats and sat by the water and on the screened in deck several times a day. The beautiful sunrises and views, and the STARS at night (wow), made for a perfect stay. Add us to the fan club for the cinnamon rolls - the jar of frosting was over the top delicious. Thank you Andrea and Troy for being generous hosts!

We had such a great time at the cottage for our wedding anniversary! Andrea and Troy were such great hosts. They had everything stocked and were wonderful with communication. The homemade cinnamon buns were such a nice touch. The house was so cozy! Our dogs loved running and playing by the lake. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. It’s the perfect getaway!

The house was so cozy & cute and super clean. The coffe/tea bar was super cute and a nice touch. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. The view of Lake Gaston from the screen room was amazing. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Our family enjoyed a quick stay. The place had everything you needed. It’s clean, warm and well organized. We loved sitting on the scream in porch, going for walks, playing games, using water equipment, watching sunrise. Our dog loved all the running space. The privacy is great. Hosts are very responsive. Really nice place. We would love to come back.

THIS is what these vacation rentals were meant to be. Gracious hosts. Excellent communication. Hospitality was great (cinnamon roles were delicious), not a ton of rules & chores asked of us. Just all around great experience in a beautiful place. We’ll be back!

The house is right on the lake with very nice views and location. There are plenty of kayaks, canoe and vests to use from the private pier. The lake has a lot of fish and we enjoyed fishing in the calm waters. The hosts are great, communicated on time and provided additional complementary things. The cottage was very clean and loaded with staples, but also with delicious coffee and tea for the guests. Thank you for a great weekend!

What a wonderful cottage with amazing views!! Super clean and well stocked with just about anythig you can want!!! The hosts Andrea and Tony were so friendly and accomodating. What a breath of fresh air! They even made us a breakfast quiche, which was delicious! We will be back for sure.

Sunrise Cottage had all the things we needed for a relaxing weekend on the lake. It was clean, cozy and comfortable and the homemade cinammon rolls waiting for us for breakfast our first morning were delicious. The owners were accommodating and accessible. It isn't the newest home but everything was spotless and the thoughtful decor made you feel like you could put your feet up and relax.

I had a wonderful stay with my husband at the lakeside cottage!! The back of the home is secluded and offers a stunning view of Gaston Lake. Mornings I sipped my coffee on the screened porch while watching glorious sunrises. Really breathtaking!! I saw osprey, deer and an eagle take flight from a tall pine tree on the property. During the day we used the kayak, canoe and paddle board and went swimming off the dock.An open floor plan with a nice size kitchen and dining area was well equipped with everything we needed to make meals. We also used the outdoor grill.At night we sat outside to hear the frogs and star gaze. We even started a game of monopoly but didn't have time to finish. The hosts were great and communicated with us to make sure we were comfortable. Next time we will book this cottage for at least a week!!
