The Baker's home was everything that I could have imagined. The home was well supplied for all my needs and then some. Deb made sure that we were comfortable and provided a very descriptive of things to do.

The house was perfect and comfortable in a quiet area. The setup was perfect for us. The bathrooms, bedrooms, etc are setup perfect for comfort and relaxation. We come every year and this is our new GO TO spot!!! Amazing property manager super helpful accommodating .

Perfect place to stay in Washington. The area is extremely quiet and we had no issues. The house has everything you need! I would highly recommend staying here versus a hotel or any other properties.

This spotless property was filled with countless touches that welcomed us and made our stay so comfortable & convenient! The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped for the home cook with quality cookware, appliances & tableware, as well as ample towels, food wraps, containers, spices, coffee supplies, etc. The living areas were spacious and relaxing with recliners, pillows and cozy blankets. The bathrooms were spotless and appointed with luxury towels, complimentary shampoo & conditioners, great lighting and plenty of hot water. The memory foam mattresses were so comfortable and the quiet neighborhood allowed us a great night’s sleep. There’s a cozy covered little private sitting porch under the carport out back - a great spot to relax with morning coffee and listen to the birds - or sip some wine in the evening before dinner. The stacked washer/dryer off the kitchen were a wonderful convenience with ample laundry supplies. For our infant grandson, there was a pack n play, high chair, stroller and wonderful toys he enjoyed. A very detailed house manual answered any questions we had about the property. The host kept in constant touch with us to ensure every aspect of our stay was perfect. The proximity to downtown restaurants and the waterfront was so convenient. And the pet-friendly welcome of our collie/sheltie pup was so warm & inviting. We have stayed in many wonderful short-term rentals in Little Washington and this one ranks in the top tier! Highly recommended.

Our getaway at The Baker House was just perfect! Of our many, many stays at various VRBOs through the years, this was without a doubt our favorite. Aside from being pristinely clean (even the baseboards!), the Baker House could best be described as a combination of "coastal" and "small town homey", and everything was updated not to mention well cared for. The furnishings were tasteful, comfortable. There was plenty of space to spread out. It had all of the big and little touches that made it so cozy: fuzzy blankets, two electric fireplaces, uber-comfortable mattresses, extra travel-size toiletries, complimentary Keurig pods and coffee accompaniments, light snacks, etc. Our host reached out multiple times leading up to and during our stay, checking to make sure all was well. We really appreciated that. Whatever brings you to Washington, NC, the Baker House would be a lovely place to stay for your family or friends.

We loved staying at The Baker’s House and recommend it highly. Here’s why: As a woman of a certain age, my travel standards have evolved. What I want is a home away from home. I want the reservation process to be smooth and friendly, and I want to feel as though I am in safe and trustworthy hands. Our Baker’s House stay exceeded all expectations. Deborah was always quick to respond and communication was clear, thoughtful, friendly, helpful, and gracious. My 94-year-old father and I needed a place to stay for 4 nights as we were doing some genealogical research in the area. We arrived late after our long drive from CT. The sensor light made it easy to find our covered parking spot and get our bags up the well-lit stairs and into the house. The tastefully decorated home is supplied with everything needed for a cozy, comfortable, easy stay. The bedrooms are spacious with super comfortable beds and lots of closet space. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry rooms are stocked far beyond what I’ve found in other rental homes. Detergent, dryer sheets, spices, a great assortment of cookware. . .all there. . .and more! The location is pleasant and quiet, while being close to restaurants and shopping. These hosts understand comfort and efficiency and, clearly, want those who stay in their home to want for nothing. It’s also evident that others have enjoyed their stay as there is a book in the home where guests have written about their lovely Baker’s House experience.

We were 3 senior women who visited to celebrate a birthday. The house was comfy, clean and very well equipped. The two electric fireplaces were great as the weather had turned cooler. The host provided everything we needed and communicated before and during our stay!! Great house.!!!
