Stay there with my family of four. small but beautifully renovated. Staff are very professional and friendly. The pool area is beautiful but extremely small. The guests in the pool were extremely loud during the night. The wall are not sound proof. We can hear guests conversation in the hallway early morning. The restaurant has great breakfast selections. We wish the room has a fridge for storage . Parking was easy. We would stay there again

The customer service was excellent. Upon my arrival, i was greeted by friendly staff. The staff was very accomodating and made my stay very enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Fort George when in Belize City.

The staff was amazing!

An upscale hotel with an excellent restaurant and a nice spa. My massage was nice but not what I would consider truly professional, just felt a bit relaxing. The interior is done very nicely, both in the lobby and the restaurant. Service at the restaurant is slow. I gave this hotel 4 stars because cleaning staff forgot their washing rags inside my room when I checked in. It wasn’t a deal breaker but took a little away from the overall upscale experience.

Amazing dinner menu

Everything was good

The purpose of our 7 days stay way vacation. Also we were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. The entire staff were very courteous from the housekeeping staff to the manager. Our room was clean spacious and quiet. We had a balcony where we enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and sunset. They served some very delicious Belizean Queasiness at the tree house restaurant. We also had a very nice experience at the spa. Mr. Trap took time out of his busy schedule to check in with us periodically to ensure our stay was excellent. Overall our experience was exemplary I would definitely recommend this facility to my friends and family. Keep up the great job thanks to the everyone for the great experience. Mr. & Mrs Lightfoot

The newly redone Fort George was nothing short of amazing and a total gem in the middle of Belize City! The rooms were squeaky cleaned, the whole hotel smelled amazing, the beds were very comfy, lovely linens, and great toiletries provided in the bathroom. There’s a wonderful spa and I had an amazing manicure and pedicure - the woman was so gentle and so precise. And the food…it was great! I had breakfast lunch and dinner at their restaurant and I was not disappointed - I was thoroughly impressed. I’m in Belize every year and will definitely stay there again!

All the staff was incredibly rude and not helpful al all. I would not stay here again even if the hotel facilities were very nice.

We enjoyed the dining services. Great customer service especially Janella, Rashid and Deirdre. The front desk needs some retraining. Not very knowledgeable on shuttle procedures. Room was very clean, well stocked and great air conditioning. Have bug spray available for mosquitoes.

Just 5/5, was almost about to become stranded here cause of Hurricane Beryl. It would have been fine even in the hurricane cause the windows face away from the ocean, and the outside walls are solid. Staff was outstanding in helping me think of evacuation scenarios. Would have been totally fine had I not made my flight. Dining was good, wish for more vegetarian options. House cleaning was outstanding, honest. Spa was good, nice service though technicians not trained well. If I come back for work, I will stay here. Only issue with the noise, walls are paper thin. Try to stay as high as possible, away from people as possible. Thanks so much!

Located in an undesirable location, this hotel will offer high prices on every experience they offer with complimentary dirty floors/showers in your room. The hotel is extremely loud and noisy with hotel doors slamming with no buffer. I had the lovely experience of listening to extremely loud metal screeching sounds every 10 seconds beginning at 5am. The metal screeching sounds were no from fellow persons staying at the hotel but the hotel staff or building itself. I noted this while checking out and received an apology, no offer of compensation in the slightest. Overall, a very poor experience and stay, would not recommend if you are looking for a tranquil experience as depicted in their property photos.

We were in Belize City for a wedding and started at a different hotel. We left because of the lack of amenities and moved to Fort George. From the moment we walked in service was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a pool and a workout room. The pool appears to be new and was very nice. We spent an entire day hanging at the pool. We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse and our room was beautiful. We had an amazing view and a large balcony. There was a space with a desk to work. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice soaking tub and a huge shower with great water pressure. The restaurant does not have the best food but the staff is so friendly and it is so comfortable sitting in the greehouse. There are also several restaurants in the area including a Chinese restaurant that has amazing curry and Martha's breakfast restaurant which has delicious vegan waffles. The hotel is also in very close walking distance to the ferry for Caye Caulker and San Pedro. If going to Belize, I highly recommend no more than one day in Belize City and the rest of the time on the islands (the food is much better, there are beaches, and there is much more to do). There is no beach area in Belize City.

Great hotel to stay at. Newly renovated and very clean. Staff in every area were very nice and attentive. Felt very welcoming. Hotel conveniently located near the beautiful seaside, water taxi and downtown shopping area. Area around the hotel though there is a lot of constructions going on with the renovation of the hotel, it still felt safe to walk around. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel, they are very nice restaurants near the beach side and within walking distance. Our last night we got upgraded to a very beautiful penthouse. We were celebrating our daughter high school graduation and kickoff to college, she loved the upgrade. Thanks Forth George Spa and Hotel for the beautiful upgrade. This wasn’t our first stay here, and sure will not be our last. Never disappointed.

Great Hotel!!

The property is lovely but the hotel advertises airport transport for a fee. We agreed to the $15 per person fee; however, when we arrived they charged our family of 4 $120.00 USD. I asked what a cab would have cost (as we had to wait 15min for the bus while there was plenty of cabs around) and I was told it would have cost $120. We called a cab the next day to return to the airport and it only cost $30USD. We felt totally scammed.

Stayed in penthouse w 2 kids room was very nice on par w intercontinental/4 seasons. Great food, nice gym prob nicest hotel in Belize city, found it when my flight was cancelled. Pretty dead around the hotel but I think that’s the expectation anywhere in the city. Basically never left the hotel.

Clean Outside construction

Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. Only place to eat was inside the hotel but it looks like more is developing around the location. The pool was relaxing and beautiful!

Was a great stay. First visit since the renovations and it was all good. We would for sure visit again.

The construction is new and beautiful, staff was wonderful. There is a lot of construction work going on around the area so the tourism area is a bit limited, at least when we stayed. In-hotel restraunt was great and there are a few walkable options too.

This is a newly renovated hotel. Its absolutely stunning. Staff were all AMAZING and FRIENDLY. One of my friends was there for her briadal shower and they upgraded her room to a suite, that was awesome and very thoughtful of them!

Concierge tried to get us to buy a $60 USD ride to the airport. It is standard $30~ USD back and forth from Belize City to the airport every taxi you talk with. I clarified with her a second time to confirm she was talking in USD so there was no miscommunication. Still $60 USD. So on my own I called Jet Transportation and got a $30 ride for two of us. When we got to our room the tile floor was soaking wet. We assumed it was from being recently cleaned. I used a towel to mop it up. When I was finished the towel was filthy on both sides. Our sheets were damp also. I would assume the moisture was from the humidity, but that wouldn’t explain the filth. Then I found hair and someone’s used contacts on the floor. They were able to get us another room. This one was clean and zero moisture. We slept well and comfortably, but next time will probably go back to the Golden Bay Hotel where we had a much better experience.

The facility was convenient

Beautiful and high end resort but not to much to do in the area.
