Our stay couldn't have been more comfortable and wonderful. The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful and thoughtful. Never pointed to a direction without personally taking us there. A special thanks to Douglas. Lunch, dinner and breakfast service was exemplary. One of the most elegant, beautiful hotels I have stayed in - bar none.

The place is stunning. Just the history of the place makes me want to go back

This is a premier hotel on a gorgeous property. Service was 5 stars. Only complaint was Fontana restaurant was pretty disappointing. Our salads were not very crisp or fresh and our pasta dishes were drowned in sauce, cool and overdone. Lastly we were stuck in a very brightly lit corner and pretty much ignored by staff. Rest of stay was impeccable but sadly would avoid the restaurant or stay away from pasta dishes at minimum.

This place is a let down. We've been there many times before but it certainly is the last time. No offered any help with baggages upon check in or check out. Our hotels.com vip status got us no upgrade (The Biltmore wasn't full) : no high floor, no nice view ... At 10:50 pm the only food option we were offered was an overpriced bakery. The cellar bar was closed during our entire stay. No prior information or further explanation. Our room wasn't serviced during our 2 nights stay. At all. No turn down service either. Sauvignon blanc served at their piano bar wasn't fresh and tasted like vinegar. It feels like this hotel only caters to their local customers. The hotel itself, the junior suite, the swimming pool are nice. They speak english but spanish is highly recommanded.

Overall, I enjoyed a nice stay at this grand dame of S Florida hotels. The setting, property and hotel make for a worthwhile destination-accommodation, though all are showing a bit of age. Given the historic, burnished reputation of this true classic, some remodeling/refurbishment and refreshing are in order.
