An absolutely charming hotel in a great area - very close to restaurants, the pier and the harbor. Tasty coffee and fresh baked goods for breakfast. Front desk staff is polite and very pleasant. I will be back very soon!

La Playa Inn has a very convenient location, the rooms were clean, and overall, I had a good stay. The only area for improvement that I can think of is the bed was not to my preference. The mattress was really soft, and I prefer something a bit firmer. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could!

So much hospitality

Loved this gorgeous, Spanish style hotel! It was conveniently located nwar State St., the beach, and 101 fwy. Unfortunately, there were some issues with our room; TV kept shutting off, and the remote for the TV seemed to also unintentionally control the the fan. Maybe cross wiring?! We had our fan replaced and TV repaired (remote still controlled both LOL). We were gifted a bottle of wine with a, "sorry for the inconvenience," card which was extremely thoughtful! All of the staff were friendly and courteous. There was a nice continental breakfast; muffins were hard, but the ham and cheese Croissants, and fruit were great! We were on the 2nd floor and the people above us were stomping around most of the night. I'd definitely stay at La Playa Inn, again, but request 3rd floor!.

The beds were not comfortable. The soap and shampoo dispenser were horrible. The shower was not comfortable either.

The hotel was clean, staff was lovely, basically a bargain hotel. Not luxurious, no extras. Faux wood floors. It is a place to stay but in no way a vacation.

My favorite stay so far! The staff are all very friendly and professional. The property is very well-designed and has comfortable soft mattresses and bedding. It made our vacation feel truly amazing. Thank you!

Decent location on one of the main roads into the coastal esplanade. Relaxed Mediterranean feel in common areas with terracotta patios and plants. Rooms OK - guess depends which one you get. Relatively small but clean bedrooms with Jim particularly stand out features. Beds raised on a strange metal frame. Parking included is safe, undercover and free - a refreshing change from the money making of others. Basic continental breakfast will set you off to a good start. Hotel walkable into SB, the coastal strip, pier, shopping inland and everything you’ll want to see.

The hotel itself is very nice. Newer construction, very clean, continental breakfast is served daily. The mattress was very soft (not comfortable if you prefer more firm). The towels were odd...not good drying ability (felt a bit waxy or something and not absorbent). The location itself wasn't wonderful as it is situated right across from a park, which was inhabited by homeless people. We didn't have a vehicle, so we walked everywhere. You'd probably like to stay closer to State Street/101 to be in a better area.

Easy check in/check out process. Parking included on the property (covered and uncovered spots). Location is great. A couple blocks from the water and main street. Rooms were good size and clean. Good noise cancellation. We didn’t hear any of our neighbors.

Great location for beach, walking and views. Rooms on upper level have vaulted ceilings, bright and roomy. Continental breakfast was really good. Only complaint is that they did not care whatsoever about recycling plastic, glass or anything!

I give it a mixed review. This is the second time I stayed here. The first time was better than this time. Excellent location, coffee, cleanliness, and outdoor aesthetics. Problems: The bed is extremely soft to the point of marshmallow. We had to change rooms 3 times due to screaming plumbing pipes, and inadequate accommodations. The room we ended up in was a view of the parking lot and main street traffic with a noisy a/c that kept us awake. The breakfast food is not good. The water is icky so bring bottled water for yourself. Also, you will need to bring your own soap, shampoo and conditioner and lotion because the hotel provisions are icky. Prices are way to high for what you get.

Within walking distance of the beaches and the town . Staff very helpful friendly.

The hotel was small but beautiful, its Spanish style and the attention to detail was evident throughout the hotel. A walk away from the marina, shops, and restaurants.

Beautiful and near the ocean. Delicious restaurants in walking distance. The peer is lovely too. The hotel was really nice and the staff were perfect hosts.
