We had the windowed corner all the way at the top during "midnight summer". You can see it in the hotel picture. The view was fantastic! It was sunny 24/7 which was truly amazing. There was no AC and once of the windows was locked so there couldn't be any cross draft. There was a fan, though. It was hot in there even though the outside temp never rose above 65° outside. Hotel breakfast was extensive and delicious but a scrum of people every day. Hotel staff were very nice people but you're kind of on your own, IMO.

The room was clean and comfortable as usual at Scandic. There was an excellent buffet breakfast, also as usual. The receptionist put us in a large room (Scandic's rooms are notoriously small) which turned out to be for the disabled. What he didn't do is warn us that the unloading/ loading parking pullout in front of the hotel has very strict rules. We took 9 minutes to check in and drop our bags in the room and return to the car. We know it was 9 minutes because that was on the 900 NOK parking ticket we got. No warning at reception, no signs on the hotel door indicating, nothing. And the city no parking sign is plastered with stickers on both sides. Oh well, 900 kroner, only money, right? But it could have been avoided if we had been given the information and one of us stayed with the car.

There is a shuttle that goes to or near most of the hotels we took that back to the airport it was about $25. The hotel is convenient to most of the city center. Nothing was more than a few blocks away. Especially if you have tours booked liked we did. The room was spacious, which was nice since we were there for 4 nights. Great breakfast, lots of options. Definitely worth staying at if you want to make the most of Tromso!

Hotel was on the whole really nice, breakfast was excellent. The downsides were no tea/coffee making facilities in room which would be nice, room was very hot and when nightclub below is open it can be noisy. Would recommend hotel as place to stay in Tromso

Stayed as a family with 2 young children for 5 nights, room lovely, breakfast was really nice with lots of options. Good locatiom, everythinh within 5-10min walk. Staff really friendly, easy to get taxis etc.

I was allocated a room where nothing had been renovated for an estimated 50 years. Ancient bathroom, smashed room door, torn out lamps above the bed with open holes and a missing mirror that had fallen off. Only the hanger was still visible. I didn't accept this room and it was a while before I got another one. Staff unhelpful withheld an apology or anything else. Very poor internet and when we showered the whole bathroom was under water. Bad beds and not even Kleenex or anything else. The hotel is completely overpriced and not even worth 2 stars. Breakfast was adequate but you always had to look for a place to sit. I will never book this hotel chain again.

Relatively expensive hotel with micro rooms- like an interior cabin on a third rate cruise line. Breakfast was chaos. Too many people in too small a space. People spilled out into the lobby looking for seats. No service at all. Picked over buffet

Got a pretty great room that was bigger (Family room) and all the amenities were nice. We missed a view of the town, mountains and water- we could only see the interior of hotel. Next time I will definitely ask for a sliver of a view and pay for it. We just were not aware of the layout of this hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and the front desk employees very nice and helpful. Thank you!
