Extremely charming, historic building. Climate control in our Secret Garden Room could use some work, as it was chilly during the day but at night got very stuffy, which was unexpected in the hot weather.

We search for unique stays when we travel, and Hines Mansion definitely checked all the boxes. Great location, atmosphere and privacy!

Gorgeous piece of Provo history! My husband felt the room was too dark (Winter Dreams room) but I was so in love with the architecture and jacuzzi that I didn’t care. The room has guestbooks reaching back to 1996 which were fun to read. You’re only a block from restaurants and shopping, plus the neighborhood is walkable and safe, with cute homes to see. The check in window is tight (4-5) but we got a little tour and fresh baked cookies, which was cool! They had fruit, granola bars, and Keurig pods for breakfast. You are sharing space with others for any kitchen needs, which was fine, but I would like an ice machine, or maybe a bunch of regular trays to keep in the freezer. Overall, really cool place to stay, and I’d totally return to try other rooms too.

It was a nice, simple place to stay. Comfortable and close to things we wanted to do in downtown Provo.

Room was super cozy. Bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. They had fresh baked cookies available at all times. And the bath tub was amazing.

Loved Hines Mansion! The staff was so nice and brought out FRESH baked cookies when we arrived! The room was awesome like we stepped back in time! the grounds were beautiful and loved the gargoyle (took my pic with him) Will stay again next year!

This is a quaint old home in central Provo. It is clean and well maintained. It is close to several features in the area. We stayed there 2 years ago and we were served with a wonderful full breakfast. When we arrived this time we were surprised to only receive a continental breakfast. That fact had not been stated on Expedia where we booked our stay.

We have always liked this place it nice and quite and we really enjoy it every time we have been here.

It was a cozy little bed and breakfast! We loved it, it was local, and a nice tub, and is right in downtown Provo, so it was close to lots of fun stuff.

For those who have not visited Hines Mansion, you will enjoy your stay. For those of us who have been long time visitors, there may be dissapointment with the changes. After my visit, I decided it may be time to retire my yearly anniversary visit and look elsewhere. The quietness, convenience to restaurants within walking distance, and quaintness remain. I missed the robes and sparkling cider in each room. There is no hot breakfast anymore, and their idea of a continental breakfast is merely a sad snack. I expect at least a juice and muffin rather than an apple and crust of bread. There were no drink options other than coffee and caffeinated tea. It is no longer a luxury stay. They used to fulfill a niche for the only bed and breakfast around. They are moving toward an airbnb feel. Every airbnb I've gotten has been private, children are allowed, and there's the expectation that you can cook there. So the identity of Hines Mansion is now confusing and is only attractive to singles who need a quick stay. We stayed there after we got married, so there is sentimental value, but I no longer recommend it for newlyweds. The front sitting room was removed, so it is not even conventient for gatherings. There are many tables, so you are welcome to bring outside food in. The personnel at check-in were very welcoming but the personnel at checkout should not be involved in the hospitality business. There was no greeting, no smile, and no question if we enjoyed our stay.
