Private beach, nice sand, calm warm sea. Beautiful quiet gardens. Comfortable , spacious room, not 'up to date' but perfectly adequate. Very friendly, helpful staff.

La Mariposa is located right by a peaceful and beautiful beach. The garden is impressive; filled with flowers and trees. The breakfast is good (although I missed some vegetables). Our overall experience of our stay is very good. The only downside is that there are not that many restaurants within walking distance (hence this place is best suited for self-catering). But there are buses running frequently on the main road and the reception can help to arrange a taxi if you want to explore other areas.

Morning breakfast is a delightful experience, with bright flowers and beautiful birds in the morning. Small pool but clean. (The crystal waters of the beach is few feet away so its absolutely OK) Rooms are comfortable. Good views and very comfortable location. I recommend it to singles, couples or families. On the flip end, the towels are small and are not replaced daily. I like that it protects the environment, but the option for replacement of towels should be available. We were a family of three and stayed for (7) seven days, but had only 3 sachets of coffee in the kitchen. The manager refused to replace the coffee or tea sachets in the room even upon request. A supermarket is close by so that was OK. Otherwise a wonderful experience overall, and made our trip very comfortable.

Staying at la mariposa was a wonderful experience. The facilities were great, the staff helpful and the location and view excellent. It is wonderful for a romantic getaway. We really recommend it.

The hotel is situated next to the lovley beach.There is a beautiful garden with small swimming pool.The singing birds were waking us up for breakfast which was a buffet outside the main building.We enjoyed having breakfast in The sitting area with tables and chairs with a view of the ocean. The hospitality of The staff was great,always smilling and happy to help despite us not speaking French. The manager and her Assistant were brilliant,offered a lot of advice on places to visit and activities to do. Also they helped us to rent a car. The place is secure with guards 24hours a day.There are enough sun beds for all of the guests.I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

The lagoon has cristal clear water, you may swim with delphins near by and relax in quiet area away from over crowded northern parts of the island. Apartments are spatial, clean with extremly large beds, amazing view, and well equiped kitchen if you are planning to cook. The staff is doing its best to make you feel as king. The manager is creating family atmosphere. In addition she is extremly helpful and can arrange almost everything you may wish. And at all times happy to give advise and help you. For us it is the best place to stay (we were driving along the Mauritius coast so we know what we are writing). Anyway definetly a place worth to recomend.
