Great stay, amazing staff, beautiful views! Can’t wait to go back!

Hotel beach chair area is beautiful..however the beach is impossible to swim in. The tide is to far out. Also great deal of seaweed and other plant like things flouting in the water does not make it appealing. NO AC! I missed this part during booking and it ruing my stay, extremely hard to sleep in the heat at night with just a fan. Water in the shower and sink come out salty, very weird to brush teeth and shower. No bottled water, they filter water into a glass jar and sell it to you for 2-3$. Food was not bad, they have a nice lunch and dinner menu. Breakfast was the same everyday, standard eggs and toast. This area of the island is extremely quiet, no life, youll be completely alone, if you like that, its fine, I have a better time up north in nungwi with the nightly hotel band shows and people watching. Aside from that service is great, staff is friendly.

Can’t rate the hotel highly enough, mainly because of the service! Great food, very relaxed and you couldn’t be looked after better. Wonderful location. You must always remember you are in Africa so there will be some challenges but Magic will smooth those out. You would be missing out not to stay here...

Wonderful setting with the owners and staff a whole lot of fun. Lots of sunshine from the skies and the people. Food excellent, rooms very good and spotless. Great bar and restaurant with unbeatable views.

Absolutely excellent stay - we were here for 8 nights and it was idyllic. Staff were all super friendly and rooms were v comfy and clean. Our bungalow on the beach was excellent too.

Highly recommended! The most expectional part at this hotel was the service from manager and bar/restaurant people. The hotel is small which was perfect for us since so relaxing. Beach is so quite and nice.... Food was great too....

What a perfect little slice of heaven this place is!! Isolated from the hectic tourism / aggressive sellers of other parts of the island; this place was absolutely perfect to unwind at the end of our mainland safari. Definitely not the cheapest place on the island for the room prices or for food / drink prices but amazing quality, value and service built in to everything they do. All of the staff members seemed to genuinely care that you have nothing to worry about at all during your stay! Thanks!

The resort itself is very nice, the pool is amazing. The beach was a big downfall compared to Jambiani area, there is a lot of coral and sea urchins (bring water shoes) so swimming was not really possible. Thankful for the pool in this case. The bed was very springy and the sheets were extremely rough(pilly). All in all the place is nice! Food was delicious and highly recommend selecting the full board menu! Not many other options anywhere close by.

This hotel is GORGEOUS, the food is really good and well priced. Rooms are very cute, well decorated with local made pieces and comfortable. The really special stand out thing here is the staff- they are truly lovely people and their warmth and professionalism shaped our stay. I can't wait to go back.

From the moment we arrived at Zanzibar Magic Boutique Hotel we fell in love with the place! Having just come back from a week stay we are already wanting to Go back! The hotel itself was exactly as per the pictures, we loved the feel of the place and felt very comfortable very quickly. The rooms were spacious and although did not have air con (which we were aware of before hand) were kept to a high standard and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Being an eco hotel the turn down service was not every day but if you requested clean towels they were more than welcome to oblige with no trouble. The food at the restaurant was outstanding! We loved every meal that we had there and as mentioned in previous reviews there are no local restaurants within easy reach so to have this service at the restaurant was amazing! And although prices might have been slightly higher than local prices we felts the standard was well worth the price! One of the favourite parts of the whole trip for me was meeting all the amazing staff at the hotel! Every single person that we met at the hotel were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on there face! They made you feel completely at home! One of the bar men even took us for a walk out to the local sandbank on his break to show us the local area. The manager also went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

At first I would like to thank a lot to manager Lukas, who was very helpful and let us have a very late checkout for no extra fee (due to low season). Hotel is small but so cute, super friendly stuff, clean and nice furnished rooms. There is no air conditioner only the fan, but honestly it is absolutely fine and sufficient. the beach is amazing in both cases - during high tide or low tide. What about the restaurant - I don't think I had better meals anywhere else on island. Really amazing food!!! Hotel offer all possible trips on island. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling as couple.
