The hotel is very convenient, close to the station. For the price it is cheap and cheerful. The staff are very friendly and the hotel at night feels very safe but the area at night is not always great. The facilities are basic. There are plenty of food stores and restaurants and the tram makes it easy to travel into town and to the airport.

Clean and convenience. Everything is fine except that a male staff told us that they couldn't store our luggage as their luggage room was full when we checked out even though we paid for it. It's strange.

The hotel was in a great location by the station and about a 20 min walk from the centre. The room was very clean and everything was in good order so very good for a budget hotel. However, despite paying on hotels.com we were asked to pay again at check in. We should have noticed the error but after a 5am start and having booked many months ago we mistakenly complied. Had we not noticed the error they would have not raised the double payment. So i would advise being cautious of this error if booking.

Overall it was a good stay in a budget hotel. The most annoying aspect was the fire alarm going off multiple times and having to evacuate from the 6th floor due to smokers in their rooms. It was located near the train station which isn’t the most central neighborhood in Bordeaux, but it was easy enough to access the city center using transit. The cleaning staff was great and always left our room clean and fresh.

Room completely adequate and well priced. On weekdays. Facilities would not be up to a four star business traveller’s expectations, however. Cafe for breakfast was a bit basic, but the area abounds with alternatives.

Great staff, cheap place to stay, has all the basics, however not exactly the safest area outside the hotel, likely preferable to return to your room before dark or get a taxi to the door. Overall would recommend.

So pleased l booked this hotel for my first solo trip to Bordeaux. Hotel opposite Saint Jean Gare from where l had got the Direct bus from Airport.
Ibis Budget is immaculate. The facilities are excellent including the wonderful breakfast.
Staff so helpful. Can get the tram opposite hotel, outside station to Bordeaux Centre, just a 13 minutes journey.
All round a great hotel for a base to see the sights of beautiful Bordeaux.

It is definitely a budget hotel.
The shower connects directly to the bedroom instead of the bathroom so there is no privacy at all if you want to shower.
There is an up charge to use anything, a hair dryer, an iron, etc.
The room is also much smaller then it appeared online.
