This was one of our more delightful hotel experiences. The hotel is really lovely, with an indoor pool that our kids loved and a STELLAR breakfast buffet. But what made it really special was the staff, who were genuinely warm and thoughtful.

Our stay was okay. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel pool and breakfast were disappointing. Pool was cold and the hot tub was incredibly hot so you couldn’t enjoy either. Unless I missed something, breakfast was limited to dry breads, cereals, and yogurt. I chose a bagel which ended up being still frozen in the middle. Overall, not the worst but just some things to keep in mind when booking, especially if you’re traveling with kids.

From check in to check out, I had a great experience. The evening/night desk person, Gaia, was not only friendly but helpful at offering directions and suggestions or where to find good food at night within walking distance.
The room was comfortable and clean and the morning breakfast was filling, especially the oatmeal with all the fixin's.

This is a quirky, funky( in a good way), bohemian type hotel in a great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Super- friendly staff, exceptionally clean room, and a beautiful view of the mountains have caused my spouse and I to fall in love with this place. It has such a great vibe. Soulful and artsy. From the front desk to the cleaning staff we were treated in a friendly and welcoming way. The complimentary breakfast is very simple but adequate if you're looking for a quick morning bite. Cereal, toast, yogurt, hard boiled eggs etc. Nothing fancy.
The place was fully decorated for Halloween which to us showed that the owners go out of their way to give this place a non-chain feel, and they succeed. If you're looking for a unique and welcoming stay this is the place. If you're looking for a cookie cutter, corporate chain type experience then this is not the place.

The room was clean. Front desk clerk, Gaia, was very nice. Appreciated the fridge having an actual freezer. Towels were better than most hotels at that level.
Tv did not work and booklet said to call front desk to change HDMI. Maybe housekeeping could check this when cleaning if its so simple. Same with turning off the alarm clock so it doesnt go off at midnight as it did! Super annoying!!
Other than that stay was fine.Left too early for "to go" breakfast.

This was and old hotel but don't let the age fool you. The hotel was very clean. I had a spacious 2 queen bed room and the beds were medium firm. The beds passed yhe bedbug inspection. Sheets and towels were clean! MJ helped us at check-in. The customer service was verify friendly and helpful. Will stay again if ever in town.

Check in was good. Can't believe thry had actual room keys, like brass keys. The hotel and rooms are outdated but ok. The beds are not the best. I ended up with a back ache. Breakfast was good and Cindy was a delight. A good mattress would improve the score.

This was our first stay at Stratford Inn, and we were so impressed that we have already booked our stay for next year's OSF. The atmosphere and ambiance was wonderful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The pillows were a bit too thin for my taste, but overall everything else was above and beyond expectations.

Solid hotel offering in a great little town. Clean and tidy rooms, plenty of towels, soft linens. Firm mattress, appreciate pillows were of medium thickness. Easy to walk to shops and dining along main boulevard. Fabulous staff, easy, well lit parking.

My wife and I love Ashland and like to take a few days each year to visit. The Stratford is perfect for walking downtown, to the park, shopping and restaurants. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The lady in the breakfast room makes me think of family, she is so friendly and so ready to help. I love the fact that the pool and hot tub is open so late. If I could change one thing it would be a better breakfast. The only hot option is oatmeal.

Nice folks. Great, easy check in. Wonderful breakfast. I would def. stay here again. My one complaint: Please clean mop heads better. The bathroom had that old urine smell. I travel with Lysol wipes, and went over the floor and toilet areas a few times. The place was obviously cleaned. It is likely about keeping mopeds clean. This is not the only hotel where this has occurred. I just don't think hotel folks really sensitize themselves enough to a creating really clean and clean-smelling bathrooms.

We like this location for the price and easy walk to the Shakespeare Festival. Decent breakfast —- no hot options. Breakfast offered gluten-free bread, cereal, bagels and English muffins. Beds were pretty stiff. Nice size fridge and freezer in room.
