I am so glad I stayed at the Guesthouse Imperator my first time in Croatia. We were greeted and helped with our luggage, shown to our room and given a map with many wonderful recommendations. Thomas, our contact from Guesthouse Imperator, made a great effort to ensure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable from recommending vegetarian restaurants to getting a sim card. He really went above and beyond. The location is extremely convenient and right in the heart of Old Split; tidy, clean, comfy, and modern apartment (great air conditioning for the summer!). I would wholeheartedly recommend this location.

Great location close to everything that is needed! Thomas was a great help in all aspect, he greeted us at our drop off, explained the area and where to find important/good spots. Always easy to communicate and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Great location inside of the palace from where you can walk to anywhere. If you arrive by car it's only a short walk and conveniently located close to the port. Thomas was helpful with recommendations and helping us with our luggage. Unit was as described and the AC was very welcomed

I gave this hotel a 5 star for eco friendly only because there was no hot water in the room and my wife and I couldn’t shower or do our normal morning routine. They got us a little water going with 15 minutes to the shuttle and told me that should be plenty of time for my wife and I to get ready. It takes more than 15 minutes to get ready in the morning when we go camping. Horrible customer service, horrible food and overpriced for everything. Free shuttle from the airport but charge for $7.50 each to get back.

Wow! What a first class stay! Thomas met us at the edge of the old town and guided us right to our room. The room was very quiet and had great bedding. I will definitely book again .

This property was convenient located near restaurants and shopping. To get to the rooms, there are some stairs you’ll have to take, but the property manager kindly arranged for assistance in bringing our luggage to our room and again from our room. The room itself was very neat and clean. We had 2 twin beds in our room per our request and they were very comfortable. I highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful apartment in the heart of old town. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us many suggestions for things to do. The room was very clean. We had an enjoyable stay.

Perfect accomodation in the heart of the old town. Greeted by Franco at the airport €40. Then greeted by our host and he carried my bags to the apartment. Great spot, clean accomodation, comfy beds, fabulous shower & amenities. There is a restaurant either side of the accomodation which can get noisy but the double glazing helps with noise reduction. Our room was No.2 and was up to spiral staircases and steps outside to get to front door so just making you aware. I would recommend visiting the Fig Restaurant, AMAZING.

The room was clean and in good condition. You are above a couple of restaurants so you can hear noise if you open the windows. It didn’t bother me … I actually enjoyed the breeze and waking up to the distant sound of church bells in the morning. As some mentioned, there is no lift but that also wasn’t an issue for me.

The restaurants close at 11pm. So there is no noise afterwards. Everything works except the instant coffee can be better; it is bitter & granular; other than that? Everything is great When I arrived, I did not read the instructions carefully. I am supposed to notice the host at least 24 hrs ahead re: time of arrival. So, I did not do that. The outside door was locked by a key code. Luckily, the waitress at the restaurants phoned and I got the code to enter the building. But THAT is something YOU should not forget! Also, I booked a walking tour starting on a Sunday but I booked 3 days only until Saturday. How that happened? I have no idea but happened it did. When I came back from lunch, she was there but she can’t clean my room for the next guest checking in that evening because my things are still in the room. I checked my bookings and she was right. She then offered me to find me accommodation for the night. Super nice. Thank you! Remember Notify ahead of time That instant coffee can be better Other than that, super nice owner. I recommend it.

The absolute nicest staff and airport transport driver! Great location to explore the city and very clean. The only negative was the hot water didn’t last very long (had to take more like a warm shower if you had to wash your hair). Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and inside the old town. A little difficult to find and navigate the alleys, but google maps will get you there. Probably one of the best stays ive experienced in a while.

We loved our stay! Right in the heart of Split and convenient to everything in Old Town, but nicely modernized inside. No elevator but proprietor's (Marina's) son met us for check in and check out and helped us get our luggage up and down the stairs. Apartment was spacious and comfortable and nicely soundproofed, and we loved the feeling of actually "living" in the old city, but comfortably. :-) Marina checked on us via messaging (unobtrusive) several times during our stay to make sure we didn’t need anything, offered prompt and helpful advice when we asked (best market, laundry, restaurants), and even gifted us some delicious local cured meats on our departure. We LOVED Split, and our stay at Imperator Guesthouse was the icing on the cake!
