The property was beautiful and my family and I had a lovely time spent sitting by the fire pit and watching the lake. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful and Julie our host was super kind and friendly making our stay comfortable.

My wife and i wanted to be away and relax for a few days....we found it here. Very quiet and peaceful with a great view. Only downfall was there was nothing around, good thing we packed all necessary food and drinks. The host was very friendly and attentive.

Our time at the cabin on the Wicomico River was nice. I loved the outdoor aspects of the property more than anything else. The river is beautiful and quite peaceful. Watching the birds and other waterfowl was cool too. The inside is definitely a bit rustic. The house is a bit older and quirky. The internet is spotty which would be an issue if you are wanting to work. There isn't any place to hang clothes or put clothes away as the closet and dressers were locked up. The bathroom is very small, but if it is just two of you, it should be fine.

We loved our stay at this quiet, cozy cabin. Nestled about 20 min from stores and town, the cabin boasts an amazing riverfront perfect for kayaking and fishing. Our family members commented on how relaxed they were watching the river, reading, and taking trips in the kayaks. Every day boats of all sizes passed by and that was fascinating to watch. While there, we saw osprey, kingfisher, heron, gulls and other shore birds. We enjoyed the hot tub and used the grill and fire pit nightly. The stars were amazing! If you want to relax and enjoy the nature around you, this rental experience is for you! It is cozy and well decorated. It has great AC and comfortable beds. You will see insects and there are some dirt patches, so this is not a rental for those who want constant activity or who are afraid of a few cobwebs or getting dirt on their shoes. Having our dog with us on the trip and seeing her have an amazing time in the water was the best! I highly recommend this cabin for owners of dogs. The property manager was very nice and thorough in explaining how things worked in the cabin. She was clear that we should text with any issues and she was very communicative throughout the stay and afterwards. We had no problems with her or with the property and we plan to return again. A few suggestions: bring your own firewood, life jackets and bait. There was a great bait shop nearby with helpful suggestions for what to use. We used 50ft leash with dog as no fence.

Beautiful river scene but house is disgraceful! You are greeted initially with a musty mold smell that you can’t ignore. The house was very dirty with cobwebs in a corner wall and food still in the refrigerator. My husband and I had reserved the house for three nights but left after less than 24 hours. Beware!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Brackish! If you are looking for a peaceful atmosphere with a stunning view this is it. Our dogs loved it too :) Julie is an amazing host. we would absolutely go back!

Outstanding views Comfortable beds Homey atmosphere and decorated impeccably! Convenient to family and friends Despite heat, kept cool with AC and a “ dip” in the river! Great time was had by all!
