This is a great guesthouse in the centre of Keswick, an ideal location with access to all the walks direct from the doorstep.
I had an excellent stay with the highlights being a friendly and attentive host, super clean room with a comfortable bed (big plus after a day out walking) and an awesome breakfast with loads of options.
Highly recommend if you’re looking at visiting the area :)

Liz and Chris were great hosts, friendly, helpful and warm making our stay delightful. Breakfast fare was delious and plentiful. Bathroom was tiny but, spotless. Would highly recommend to any one visting this lovely lake district.

The location was excellent, quiet but close to the center
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our time with Liz and Chris.

Excellent, high quality B&B. The welcome and check-in set the tone for a first class visit. Our room was spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast choice was great, really liked the option to have a lighter avocado on sourdough as a change from the full English, which was also lovely! Thank you, we will definitely be back!!

Really enjoyed my stay. The room was quiet, warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Liz & Chris were warm and welcoming, and gave good advice for exploring the area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I'm back in Keswick.

We had a fab 2 night stay at Goodwin House and would love to go back again one day. Stayed in the Skiddaw Room at the top of the house and the views were amazing. A lovely and exceptionally clean and comfortable room with everything you’d need for a stay, including the most gorgeous smelling toiletries! Chris and Liz were really lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the homemade granola scrummy! We’ll be back! X

What an amazing quiet and very comfortable B&B that is a few minutes walk from keswick town centre. The owners made me and my friend very welcome. They were first class super hosts. There was nothing not to like! The owner was lovely and obliging. The room was very comfortable, quiet with a lovely view across the town to the mountains. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the en suite was bright and clean. Breakfast was perfect.

I have been visiting Keswick for a good few years and always been very happy with any B&B I used. However, this was my forth consecutive stay at Goodwin House, either as a solo traveller, or more often with my partner, but always thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I'm looking forward to my next visit with them.
