Amazing stay at this hotel following a wedding locally. Late check in so we were able to get our key from a keysafe. Honesty pantry in case you needed a snack or drink. Room was lovely & tidy and bathroom very luxurious with a roll top bath. A bottle of water provided too 😊

One of the rare gems you find. Great value for the money. Great rooms and very friendly service. Was a perfect place to experience the area. A recommendations worthy for sure.

Fantastic stay, faultless! Great warm, informative check in. Beautiful bedroom with lovely bed linen and a surprisingly spacious bathroom considering it’s a 16c coaching inn. Lovely extra thoughtful touches in room including luxury toiletries, homemade shortbread, real coffee and a cafetière. There was even an honesty pantry with food and drink treats in case the amazing dinner and breakfast wasn’t enough! We will definitely return.

Not to impressed with the hotel or the staff. Breakfast didn’t include a cup of tea had to pay £3 extra 😡. Just a blatant rip off .

Staff were super excellent and friendly. Thx breakfast we had (full English) was cooked excellently and made with really first rate produce. Shame there wasn’t any fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal though. Room was small but clean and comfortable and when revamping the bathroom they should have put a light over the bathroom mirror. We stayed in room 10 which, if you’re an early to bed type, could be an issue due to kitchen extractor just outside window. Earplugs were provided in bedside cabinets!

Excellent hotel . Very clean throughout. Lovely , friendly staff . Great food in the restaurant. We can’t fault it at all . Highly recommend this hotel .

This place is lovely….charming, historic, clean, comfortable, beautifully renovated. The food in the dining room is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. 5 stars!

It is a very old building so there has been so much history here. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathroom is lovely as well. Everything looks new and freshly painted. ♥️

Lovely friendly staff, breakfast was great. The room was quite small with not a lot of hanging space but fine for what we needed for 2 nights.

Lovely old hotel, decorated and fitted out to a high standard, I had the twin room because nothing else left so found it a little uncomfortable. Walls are thin so you can hear everything in the next rooms. My main concern was being ignored in the restaurant, after waiting in the bar area for service to no avail I went through to the restaurant, asked for a table and was told I can sit anywhere, I was given a menu, I sat and waited for service, some time passed then after watching a group of 4 enter the restaurant get served drinks then have their order taken whilst I still hadn’t been asked if I’d like a drink I decided to leave and go to the Indian restaurant, where I was served immediately. Won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful stay in the knightingale suite. A little expensive but very nicely put together, clean, comfortable and a treat.

Has a home from home feel with a luxurious edge. Owners and all staff were really welcoming and attentive. Lots of nice beachside towns close. Stayed with my partner and had a great weekend. A real gem, definitely go!
