The apartment was great. Very comfortable, spacious and with a beautiful view. Location is great too, close to the centre and all the best restaurants.
We had a car with us and initially were concerned about parking, driving and ZTL areas. Everything worked out incredibly smooth. The host registered us for a day of our arrival so we could unload our bags. Afterwards we parked across the st Lucia bridge on the mainland, 10 min walk from the apartment. Very easy and convenient. If we are ever back in this amazing town, the best in Sicily, we would definitely stay there again.
OK, I will suggest one small change: The kitchen needs lids for the pots and a spatula. Then it would be well equipped.

Not only was this a beautiful apartment with beautiful furnishings in a beautiful setting, but it was also the most completely equipped rental I have ever encountered: bicycle helmets and pump, shopping cart, first aid kit, spices and condiments, dog bed and food bowls, endless recommendations- I could go on and on. Maria Teresa is a fabulous and accommodating host. I was so sorry to leave.

Suite 18 is an amazing, spacious, contemporary apartment in a perfect location for exploring the stunning island of Ortigia and the wider area.
The property is beautifully furnished and fully equipped and has a lovely homely feel from the second you walk through the front door.
One of the highlights is the balcony overlooking the harbour which is perfect for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch or a sunset dinner and which floods the apartment with light and a cool sea breeze.
The quality of the property is mirrored by the quality of the host, Maria, who was simply exceptional. Both before and during our stay, Maria was on hand to provide us with everything we needed to know, including lots of recommendations for cultural attractions, cafes, bars, restaurants, beaches, parking, etc. This lady really cares about Sicily, Ortigia and her apartment and goes above and beyond to maximise the enjoyment of her guests. Without doubt, the very best host we’ve encountered anywhere on our travels.
The only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was a complete sanctuary from the heat and crowds of lively Siracusa. Excellent location on the beautiful island of Ortigia. The host, Maria Teresa was extremely helpful with where to park, shop, eat out and places to visit.....she went over and above expectation. Stay here if you’re going to Ortigia. It’s just that simple. The apartment is in a great location. It’s spotless and modern. Has two nice full bathrooms. Pretty view of the marina.
The owner Maria Teresa meets you at the apartment and explains everything fully, along with recs on restaurants, attractions, etc. She lives offsite but responds quickly to any queries.

Suite 18 is a beautiful, well appointed apartment on an island designed for passegiarre. It is located near markets and restaurants so you can easily eat in or dine out. Maria Teresa is a font on knowledge on the island and the area. She even found a plumber to fix a broken toilet on a Sunday night! Highly recommended.

The apartment is wonderful. The super high ceilings are beautiful. The view of the Marina is very pleasant. The kitchen is well equipped, especially if you like to cook, as we do. Local indoor and outdoor markets are close and provide all types of fish, meats, and vegetables. Maria Teresa is one of the best hosts we’ve ever encountered. She made all aspects of our two week stay great.

Suite 18 is a fabulous apartment with all necessary amenities. The balcony was a perfect spot to have breakfast and afternoon wine while appreciating the wonderful view. It was in a great location near to everything putting you in the heart of Ortigia. Nearby is a laundry who will same day wash and fold your clothes for you . Maria was a very helpful host with lots of useful information. Parking was a bit tricky but Maria was very helpful with that. Our only regret was that we didn’t book a longer stay.

Magical Island stay
Ortigia is a lovely, welcoming place. Our apartment was very special and Maria, our host went out of her way to help us. We are in our 70s and traveled alone so her guidance was so appreciated during our one month vacation.
Every convenience was provided and the neighborhood had markets, beautiful shops and cafes and a laundry within steps.
Weather wise, March is transitional. Some days were cool and rainy and not everything was open but we had the streets to ourselves! We especially enjoyed our terrace with a spritz and our view. The sunsets were spectacular. We’d highly recommend this apartment

Best location on Ortigia! Overlooking harbor with balcony. Perfect location for walking Ortigia. Close to cafes, shops, beach and landmarks. Classy decorated roomy apt. Very clean, fresh and bright! You couldn't ask for a better host then Maria Teresa! Great communication from booking to departure. Maria Teresa went out of her way to make sure we were happy. Gorgeous Property in Great Location
The property is beautifully and very fully appointed: everything you could require (except for a butler?). Quality of fit out is excellent & the balcony, although small, is a great place to start, or spend, an evening. Markets a few minutes away, as are sufficient restaurants, bars & cafes for a (very) extended stay. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you.

Ortigia - Siracusa
Die Wohnung ist perfekt renoviert, sehr schön eingerichtet und liegt nah am pittoresken Markt auf der Halbinsel Ortigia. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und bestens organisiert.
Dennoch würden wir die Wohnung nicht wieder mieten. Vom Balkon aus blickt man auf recht unschöne alte Fischerboote und es ist Tag und Nacht laut: Autolärm von den Brücken auf die Halbinsel, Scharen von Touristen, die auf dem Weg zum Meer unter der Wohnung vorbei laufen, ein Restaurant mit Terrasse im Freien mit Gästen bis spät in die Nacht und in den frühen Morgenstunden die Aktivitäten der Fischer.
Insgesamt haben wir aber eine sehr interessante Woche in Siracusa verbracht.

Our stay in Maria Teresa's lovely apartment in Ortigia couldn't have been nicer. The apartment was beautifully decorated, spacious, and conveniently located to transportation, dining, and local attractions. She was extremely helpful at our check-in and gave us several useful suggestions for activities.

The perfect place!
Maria Teresa is a very gracious and well organized host. She offers you so much information of the area, you wish you had more time. The apartment is very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen which has everything you need to cook or there are several delicious restaurants close by. It's location is within walking distance to just about everything on the island. We loved going to the open air fish market each morning and it's just minutes away. My wife and I spent three wonderful nights here. High praise!

Brilliant location, lovely, spacious, well equipped flat with view over harbour
We very much enjoyed our week in Suite18. Ideal for exploring Ortigia and Siracusa on foot and southern Sicily by car. The daily market was a joy and we cooked in the flat as well as eating out in the many excellent restaurants close by. Maria Teresa was very welcoming and gave us lots of helpful suggestions on what to do, see, eat and where. The flat is light, spacious, comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. From the little balcony overlooking part of the harbour, where some of the fishing boats moored, there was always something to watch and we were able to eat there on several days. We highly recommend Suite 18.

Lovely location, lovely property.
We had an excellent week in Syracuse from 17 until 24 September 2018. Maria Teresa gave us the most thorough and comprehensive introduction to the town, recommended restaurants, museums, parking etc, which we followed to the letter. The apartment in Ortiga was ideally placed to visit the famous Greek and Roman archaeological sites. The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It was very well equipped and an excellent air conditioning system kept us cool in the heat. We enjoyed the balcony for simple meals and drinks and loved watching the fishing boats and passersby. We cannot praise this apartment enough and Maria Teresa was a charming and well informed hostess. Many thanks for letting us share this gem although our stay was too short.

We had an amazing holiday in this lovely apartment. Maria Teresa was a brilliant host from start to finish, and she should be congratulated for the very high and stylish standard of the apartment. 2 excellent shower rooms and a very comfortable bed.
