Beds were very comfortable, included breakfast surpassed my expectations, staff were friendly.

I liked the approachable staff, clean room, and complete amenities. The location also made it very easy to get downtown using the Skytrain.

This is only nitpicking at this point, but the hallways are on the narrower side. I get it, though, it's so the rooms get to maximize the space.

We needed a place to stay for an overnight layover. This hotel suited that need. The hotel is fairly close to the airport with complimentary shuttle service. The bed was also very comfortable, which allowed us to get a good sleep before a long international flight.

Breakfast was fairly poor in terms of offerings, variety, and freshness.

When I entered room 318, there was an ice machine on the right side of the door. It was making noise all night long. I hope it can be moved to the safety ladder in front.

Modern, comfortable and clean room. Great having a guest laundry facility. Hotel clean and good facilities.

The receptionist that checked us in lacked empathy and quite frankly was unhelpful and lacked any customer service skills. We arrived early and was met by a lady called Ivy, she basically said we were early, couldn’t check in and told us to sit and wait. I was travelling with my elderly disabled Mum, there was no mention of facilities available to us while we wait for example water, tea and coffee, where the toilets were located, wifi code etc. 6 groups of people came in and were checked in while we sat and waited so rooms were available and we were totally ignored. After nearly 2 hours of waiting I went to Ivy and asked why we were still waiting as they were checking people in and she mentioned the fact that we had to wait due to our request for a room near the lift, I said why had this not been mentioned earlier as we would happily scrap that request to get a room. Our original room should of been 311 and we were finally given a room which was 312 one step further away from the lift than room 311, laughable really. I did ask Ivy could I speak to a manager and she said no as she was the manager which shocked me. If she is a manager the Holiday Inn Express really need to invest in some customer service training for their staff. The hotel is great but due to the shocking customer service I would never stay here again and would not recommend it.

Room could have been cleaner and why provide tea bags but not a kettle, but only a coffee pod type machine.

The staff were wonderful. We arrived very early after a long flight from Australia and the staff gave us a room asap after cleaning. We were offered breakfast which was excellent. Lots of variety and healthy choices. Rooms are well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. Perfect for the price Great to have the shuttle bus too

Too soft matrazze and noise during the night. Overpriced, expensive and bad Service. I would rate this hotel  as 2 star. For these prices I can stay in 5-star hotels in Thailand!

To rest after a long journey.

Overpriced. Bed too soft. Breakfast buffet already mostly emptied by 9.00 am. Hotel ATM did not work. Unfriendly receptionist. No restaurant in hotel or in short walking distance.

The hotel is serving excellent breakfast. The airport is close to the hotel and the shuttle bus service is very good. The room is very clean and specious. The staff is very helpful. My Special thanks to Cindy at the front desk who helps me a lot to reschedule the Victoria tour and the Whistler tour.

The only thing I don't like is that there is no restaurant close by.
